Japan's 3 Great Gardens
Dear

Welcome to the fifth Dreaming Edition of the Japan Travel Trade Newsletter.

We hope you are keeping well as we continue to practice good hygiene and physical distancing to keep everyone safe and stop the spread of COVID-19 in Australia and New Zealand.

It is still unclear when international travel will resume, but until then we will continue bringing you travel dreaming inspiration and updates. This month we share some more ideas for enjoying Japan in summer and present another side of Japan, introducing places to escape the crowds and the spots Japanese travellers like to visit.

 ~Insider Tip~

#2: Withdrawing cash (yen) in Japan

In Japan, not all ATMs accept international debit/credit cards. Your best bet is with Seven Bank (located at Seven Eleven convenience stores) and Japan Post Bank ATMs found at post offices throughout Japan, but an increasing number of other ATMs are accepting international cards now as well. To find your nearest ATM which DOES allow you to withdraw from your Australian or New Zealand account, download the Japan Official Travel App

Note: ATMs in Japan, especially at banks, have limited operational hours. Additionally, withdrawals are generally capped at 100,000 yen (approx AUD$1300) per day for safety reasons. The ATM and your bank may charge you an international service fee for each withdrawal.
