LEVOLUX LOOKS UP AT WALBROOK

The Walbrook Building, London, is an ultra-modern office building, which appears impressive, even when viewed from above, thanks to a Roof Screening solution from Levolux. The Roof Screening comprises 64 horizontal panels. Each panel is fitted with 200mm wide extruded aluminium, aerofoil-shaped Louvres fixed at 90 degrees, set at 500mm centres, with spans ranging from 2 to 6 metres. The Governments “Green Deal” initiative recognises that the hardest homes to thermally upgrade will be the country’s 6.6 million solid walled homes. Fortunately Insofast have developed fixing solutions for solid wall insulation. Taking industry established self-tapping helical wall ties Insofast have added a 60mm synthetic head to its thermal break ISF60 fixing for external wall insulation. For insulated plasterboard the fireproof ISF18A has a dished head, which countersinks into the gypsum board without tearing.
