Dow Building Solutions is sponsoring the “Simplifying Standards, Guides and Tools” seminar stream at Ecobuild 2011. KIMPTON TO BRING 5-STAR M&E TO LIVERPOOL TRAVELODGE

Building services firm, Kimpton, has won the M&E design and installation contract for the new 141-bedroom Travelodge hotel on Liverpool’s waterfront. Kimpton’s installation of the M&E services for the ten-storey building is due to start on site in March and the company will have to overcome the accessibility challenges of the development, which is being constructed on a very tight site, in a built-up area that sits on one of Liverpool’s main through-routes. Supermarket chain Lidl has selected Hunter Douglas as its preferred supplier of sun control as part of its store refurbishment and expansion programme. LAFARGE PLASTERBOARD MOVES TO ‘VIRTUALLY ZERO’ WASTE TO LANDFILL

Lafarge Plasterboard has reduced its waste to landfill from manufacturing to 0.03% of output – virtually zero – contributing to the achievement of Target 2 of the Ashdown Agreement, the industry’s commitment to reducing plasterboard waste.
