SECURITY PLANTER MOUNTS STRONG DEFENCE

Plantscape’s new security products division has passed another significant milestone after one of its planters brought a seven-and-a half-ton truck to a halt. The Derbyshire-based company is celebrating the result of the test, which saw the truck driven into the self-watering surface-mounted planter at 30mph in a horizontal impact test held at the beginning of autumn. Following the impact, the truck ended up on top of the planter and was immobilised, having suffered a broken drive shaft. More. Website.

2000m2 of gleaming white ceramic granite has been used to create ventilated facades for the new £12 million ward complex at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. The prefabricated panels were supplied by Shackerley and have been installed using the company’s Queen’s Award winning Sureclad Access System. Project Architect Guy Barlow said, “the Sureclad system was an ideal solution.
