A highly innovative Layher temporary roofing and crash deck design, both installed in a mobile configuration by contractor PHD Modular Access Services Ltd., is playing a key role in major roof refurbishment at Marylebone Station. The benefits of the installation are helping main contractor Morgan Sindall Ltd. meet planned completion dates and fulfilling specific project requirements. Additionally, a Layher façade scaffold has been used to support one side of the temporary roof and crash deck structure.

CMS Vibration Solutions, providers of specialist anti-vibration and structural isolation products, has designed, manufactured and installed a bespoke floating floor system for a new health centre located beneath the railway arches at Clapham Junction. Planning conditions demanded that the vibrations generated from the passing trains be isolated and the area effectively damp proofed. To ensure the building was fit for purpose, a very low frequency solution was required that could deliver a constant natural frequency of 11Hz.
