Swish Building Products’ new low maintenance, ‘low CO2’, recycled PVC rainwater system has been selected for use on a pilot refurbishment of a Victorian property. The pioneering project was launched to see how far retrofitting could take the Manchester semi-detached Victorian property towards carbon neutrality. Bennetts Associates and The Portman Estate have been granted planning permission by Westminster City Council for a major new development on Edgware Road in London. The £30m, mixed-use scheme includes Marble Arch House plus buildings on Seymour Street and Seymour Place. The 1930s Marble Arch House will be demolished and replaced with a new landmark 10,000 m² building comprising offices and shops, while the other properties are rehabilitated and extended to provide residential and restaurant space.
