NLA WELCOMES THE ‘GREEN DEAL’
The National Landlords Association (NLA) welcomes today’s announcement on the ‘Green Deal’. David Salusbury, Chairman, National Landlords Association, commented: “The Green Deal proposals represent a new opportunity for landlords to improve the energy efficiency of their properties, reduce their tenants’ utility bills and play their part in tackling climate change. While we would like to see more detail, the Green Deal should provide landlords with an innovative new avenue to invest in their properties, creating warmer, greener houses while simultaneously improving the fabric of the private rented housing stock. We look forward to working with the Department for Energy and Climate Change over the coming months to ensure the Green Deal encourages and assists landlords in improving the energy efficiency of their properties.” More   Website
TOTAL HOME SYSTEM SAVES ENERGY AND ELIMINATES CONDENSATION
The mechanical ventilation with heat recovery system from Total Home Environment has been used to save energy and eliminate condensation in a 1970s house suffering from poor air quality and unsightly mould growth. The system removes damp air whilst recovering heat which is then used to warm the replacement air distributed to the living areas, giving a warmer home with good air quality, no condensation problems and lower fuel bills.
