Glasgow nursery school has
the X Factor
A nursery school in the south side of Glasgow
has received an outstanding report from school inspectors. Hilltop Nursery
School, in King’s Park, has been recognised among the top nurseries in
Glasgow.
Parents who send their children to
council-run nurseries are to be hit with a 10% increase in fees.
The planned rise, which will be introduced across the board, will mean
the £2 rate will increase to £2.20 while the low income rate of 50p will

Shawlands Primary pupils celebrate opening of £5000 Learning Lounge
The facility, which has taken two years to create, has a stunning
library comprising 1500 books, comfy sofas, beanbags and even a piano.
There are also plans to use the space for activity clubs, pupil council

St Aloysius' College goes bilingual
Scottish children are being
taught in bilingual classes in a pioneering initiative at a Roman
Catholic private school St. Aloysius.
Youngsters
aged from three to five are learning subjects such as geography and
history in Italian, while the sciences and maths are being taught in
