An exciting article published in a  terrific venue at Yahoo Sports that takes the MPI message worldwide!  The Giants won this game by playing better in pressure situations. Can you get any more mental than that?

It's the most difficult decision to make, and it's often made for you and against your will ... the dreaded retirement of a pro athlete.

Nice article up in New England after the Super Bowl that gives some MPI statistics and shows more precisely how the Patriots lost this game in pressure situations.

Retirment from NFL

Look for this article in April with sports psychology commentary

It might seem impossible, but it's true! NHL hockey player client Olli Jokinen of the Calgary Flames, who has been working with me before every game this year and flew me to Calgary for his 1000 game celebration last month, accepted my challenge when I told him to go get a hat trick against San Jose (that means 3 goals in a game). He had not gotten a hat trick in over 3 years. Guess what? He got the hat trick plus an assist, so 4 points in total!  The team won 4-3. Sometimes success needs to be envisioned before it happens.

I will keep writing the MPI game analyses for the premier publication of Miami Hurricanes football. There is no substitute for knowing precisely how a team performed and this is what the MPI provides.

Warm Regards.
