Bundanon Trust Artist in Residence
The Artist in Residence Program offers an inspirational setting for creative thinkers and professional artists, from all disciplines, for the development of new work. The program supports artists’ new work, research and collaborations. Australian and international artists are hosted in purpose-built studios located at the Bundanon properties on the Shoalhaven River in NSW for up to six weeks. The Program is open to professional individual artists.

Countryscapes Art Prize 2011
Now in its ninth year, Countryscapes showcases the wealth of artistic talent across country and coastal New South Wales while contributing to the visual arts industry. It is Australia’s richest annual landscape art prize, attracting entries from previous Archibald and Blake Prize winners to first time entrants. Countryscapes 2011 is open to anyone who lives within Essential Energy’s network area and artists are encouraged to enter all artistic styles, mediums and contexts – ranging from observational to abstract, charcoal to traditional oil paint. The winner will be announced at the end of November, with all finalists' works being displayed in an exhibition from 25 November - 15 January 2011.

TranSCRIBE - Young Writer’s Competition
The Transcultural Mental Health Centre is calling for undiscovered creative writers aged between 12-24 years across NSW to enter the 2011 Young Writer’s Competition, TranSCRIBE. The theme for this year’s 8th Young Writer’s Competition is ‘Half Way Home’. Entrants are encouraged to write about one of two topics - Topic 1: Write about a young person living with and/or recovering from mental health issues either personally, in their family or with their friends, or Topic 2: Write about a young person from a culturally and/or linguistically diverse community and their journey to or within Australia and how this has shaped their view of the world they live in.
Entries must be emailed or uploaded to the TranSCRIBE website. Prizes are available for outstanding entries and successful entries are published in a booklet of winning entries.

Quick Response Project Funding
Quick Response project funding is available for professional individuals, groups and small- to medium-sized organisations who have received an unexpected invitation to participate in a recognised national or international arts and cultural event / activity. Amounts of up to $3,000 for professional individuals, up to $10,000 for groups of professional individuals and partnerships and up to $10,000 for small- to medium-sized organisations

General grants support excellence in the arts by providing professional development opportunities for craftspeople, designers, media artists, visual artists, arts writers and curators. The professional development activities supported by the Visual Arts Board includes self-organised residencies, writing projects, curatorial projects, mentorships, participation in conferences or workshops and research projects. Your project may span more than 12 months.

Presentation and Promotion grants assist arts organisations to present and promote contemporary Australian craft, design, media and visual arts to audiences in Australia and overseas. Projects supported by this category must have a public outcome and can include exhibitions, publications and conferences, and support for significant international visitors. Projects should have a rigorous curatorial framework aligned with suitable audience development strategies.

Regional Arts Fund 2012
Applications are now being accepted for the Regional Arts Fund (NSW), one of the key funding sources for arts and cultural activities in regional, rural and remote communities of NSW. The Regional Arts Fund (RAF) is an initiative of the Australian Government. It supports arts and cultural activities that have long term cultural, economic and social benefits, promote partnerships and cultural networks, and provide skills development opportunities. In NSW, the RAF is administered by Regional Arts NSW. Funding is available for projects commencing after 1 January 2012 in the categories of New Initiatives, Partnerships and Residencies and Mentorships. Information packs including instructions, guidelines and application forms for the Regional Arts Fund are available and can be downloaded from the Regional Arts NSW website.

Janet Holmes à Court Artists' Grant
The Janet Holmes à Court Artists' Grant is designed to provide financial assistance to professional artists for the public presentation of their work. This grant provides assistance towards the costs of public presentation of visual arts, craft and design. Amounts available are $500 for individuals and $1,000 for groups.

NSW Artists' Grant
The NSW Artists' Grant has been initiated by NAVA to assist professional visual arts, craft and design practitioners in NSW to effectively produce, present and promote their work throughout NSW, interstate and overseas. Grants are available to individuals for up to $1,250 ($1,375 inc GST) and to groups for up to $2,500 ($2,750 inc GST).

Albury Art Prize
The Albury Art Prize for 2012 is now open. It is one of New South Wales' oldest municipal art awards, awarded to a substantial number of renowned artists through its 64-year history. Entries are accepted from artists nationally working in any visual medium. In 2012, the prize offers a $20,000 residency. The winner of the prize will be announced on January 27 2012 at the opening of the exhibition of short-listed entrants.

Murrurundi Keddies Pastoral Photographic Prize
The
Murrurundi District Arts Council invites photographers to submit works
in competition for the 2011 Murrurundi Keddies Pastoral Photographic
Prize. This biennial prize, valued at $10,000, has been initiated by
the Keddie family and aims to promote excellence in contemporary
photography. Entrants to the prize are asked to interpret this year's
theme – RURAL ACTION- in colour. All entries will be assessed and
selected by a panel of judges. The Prize comprises two sections, the
Local Section and the Open Section.
