Ian Potter Cultural Trust
The Ian Potter Cultural Trust seeks to encourage the diversity and excellence of emerging artists in Australia. The Trust makes grants of up to $7,000 to early career artists practising in a wide range of disciplines within the arts, including the performing and visual arts, crafts, music, the media, literature, design, community arts and other areas. The Trust was established by The Ian Potter Foundation in 1993 to enable individual artists of exceptional talent to be given support to undertake professional development overseas, including postgraduate study.

NAB Schools First
Presented by NAB in partnership with the Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) and the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), NAB Schools First is a national awards program bringing together students, teachers, parents and community members to help young people grow. It provides financial recognition of success in establishing effective school-community partnerships as well as financial support to build stronger school-community partnerships. Any school in Australia can apply for a NAB Schools First Award. There are three award categories: Student Awards (closing 27 May 2011), Impact Awards, and Seed Funding Awards (both closing 29 July 2011).

Design NSW: Travelling Scholarship
The Design NSW: Travelling Scholarship is offered jointly by the NSW Government, Powerhouse Museum and British Council. The scholarship assists a NSW designer at the beginning of their career to undertake a program of professional development overseas. Activities eligible under the program include short-term study, courses, workshops or other training at recognised institutions / organisations; professional research; residencies at recognised institutions / organisations; mentorships or internships with approved designers, manufacturers, companies and/or organisations, or a combination of these.

2011 Blake Poetry Prize
Like the Blake art prizes, the Blake Poetry Prize challenges poets to explore the religious and spiritual in poetry. First held in 2008, the $5,000 Blake Poetry Prize encourages Australian poets to engage in the dialogue between religion, spirituality and poetry in a new 100-line poem. The Prize is undertaken in partnership with the New South Wales Writers’ Centre, and is also made possible by the support of Leichhardt Municipal Council.

Theatre - Cultural Leadership Skills Development Supports individuals to undertake programs that develop leadership skills and experiences in their chosen areas of practice.
Theatre - Cultural Leadership Program Development Supports organisations to deliver programs and activities that target the development of leadership skills and the distribution of leadership within the theatre sector.
Theatre - Program: Youth Arts For projects which develop and present the stories of youth and which offer professional development pathways with the potential to help young people become artists or artsworkers.
Theatre - Program: Presenter Provides three-year funding to assist the presentation of programs of new high quality contemporary theatre work.
Theatre - New Work Supports one-off projects that result in the creation of new contemporary theatre work. This can include a new production of an existing text.

John Fries Memorial Prize now Open
The John Fries Memorial Prize is an award of $10,000, this annual prize is open to all artists resident in Australia and New Zealand who are not enrolled as a student and whose work is not represented in the collection of  a regional, state, territory or national public art gallery. Artists of all ages and disciplines, whether members of Viscopy or not, are eligible to enter.

Flying Fruit Fly Circus | National Circus Training Project
The Flying Fruit Fly Circus (FFFC) is now calling for enrolments for its National Circus Training Project, taking place from 4-15 July at FFFC's fantastic new training centre in Albury. The course is aimed at those with some existing circus skills and participants will cover a variety of circus disciplines, with an emphasis on advancing current skills and routines. The camp will introduce participants to new aspects of training and identify areas of their practice that are ripe for development. The cost of the two-week training course is $1,250 plus GST.  Dates 4 - 15 July, Albury.

Bundanon Residency 2012
Accessible Arts NSW, in partnership with the Bundanon Trust, are providing an artist-in-residency opportunity for a NSW artist with disability. The residency is now in its third year and invites applications from artists practising in dance, design, film, literature, theatre, media arts, visual arts and music. The successful applicant will undertake the four week residency in March 2012 and receive a $3,000 stipend.

South West Music in partnership with South West Arts received Arts NSW funding through the Regional Conservatorium Association, to hold a series of concerts in 2011 titled ‘The Bush Concert Project’.  The second concert performing in Hay, Mathoura, Deniliquin and Conargo is Piano Trio Wine & Olives.  Chris Patrick with his Cello and Lucy Bignall with her Violin from Brisbane will join Riverina pianist Delena Gaffney to enchant their audiences with classical, tango and contemporary music.
