Country Arts Support Program (CASP) Now Open for 2012
Applications for the 2012 Country Arts Support Program (CASP) are now open for projects taking place between 9 April 2012 and 7 April 2013. CASP is a small grants program delivered on behalf of Arts NSW by Regional Arts NSW and jointly administered by the Regional Arts Boards throughout NSW. The aim of CASP is to support community cultural development in regional and rural New South Wales through small grants of up to $3,000 for short term, locally initiated projects. A limited number of grants are available and funds must be used primarily for professional artists' fees, travel and accommodation. Applications for Exhibition, Residency and Public Programs - The Peacock Gallery and Auburn Arts Studio
The Residency Program offers free short-term ‘day’ residencies to cater to a variety of artists’ and arts groups needs. Although the Residency Program will prioritise and have a focus on emerging and established individual artists and arts groups based in the Auburn area, the Residency Program will also be open to artists from outside of the area who are willing to engage with the local community and whose residency term will provide clear benefits to the local community.

Youth Week Design Competition 2012
Youth Week Design Competition provides young people with the opportunity to showcase their talent as a designer and to win $1,000. Youth Week 2012 are seeking entries from aspiring young designers to help create the look for the Youth Week 2012 in NSW website, posters and other promotional materials. The winning poster design will be used to promote Youth Week throughout NSW in April 2012. Entries should be innovative, creative, and help spread the word about Youth Week.

The Riverina First Community Fund
The Riverina First Community Fund is a philanthropic fund to be used to improve social, cultural and community services and facilities in Riverina communities. Projects are not expected to have a telecommunications focus. Funds can be used for capital works, as contributions to existing community initiatives, and as a financial contribution to assist and improve upon opportunities to access additional funds for community projects where a matching financial contribution is required. Grants are available up to $2000 for individual projects by a community or not for profit group.

Calibre Prize for an Outstanding Essay 2012
Australian Book Review seeks entries for the sixth Calibre Prize for an Outstanding Essay, the nation’s premier award for an original essay and one of the world’s major essay competitions. The Calibre Prize is intended to generate brilliant new essays and to foster new insights into culture, society, and the human condition. All non-fiction subjects are eligible. First prize: $7000, second prize: $2000 and third prize: $1000.

Australia Council for the Arts Grants - Soundclash - Music
Soundclash is an initiative of the Music Board that supports the creation or development of innovative, risk-taking contemporary popular music. The initiative seeks to fund musically successful experimentation within contemporary music forms such as rock, hip hop, pop, electronic dance music, and other related genres. Soundclash provides funding of up to $10,000 for costs associated with a contemporary popular music project. Projects are restricted to the creative development of new work, which includes composition, commissioning, songwriting, rehearsal, collaboration with other artists, etc.

Australia Council for the Arts Grants - Creative Australia - 21st Century Stories
ATSIA’s 21ST Century Stories is a 3-year funding initiative that will support ten projects for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, arts organisations or community organisations to tell new stories with potential public outcomes. We invite applications for artistic works that express reactions and outcomes to the way society has transformed in the first decade of the 21st century by highlighting an event from each year of the decade. These ten (10) new works will undergo further development and presentation in partnership with respective arts industry organisations and institutions. Projects may be in any artform or combination of artforms. Examples include theatre productions of new work, writing for publication, song writing for recording or performance, or the creation of new works of art for exhibition.

Hill End Residency Program 2012
Artists, curators and writers are invited to apply for the 2012 season of residencies at Hill End. A limited number of residency places in 2012 will be funded with the generous support of Arts NSW, the Department of Environment and Climate Change (Parks Services division) and Country Energy.

WetlandCare Australia 5th annual National Art and Photography Competition
The aim of the competition is to engage and build the capacity of local communities to protect, promote and restore our precious wetlands. This year sees the introduction of Open and Youth categories for Indigenous artists to complement the established categories in Art and Photography that are open to all Australian residents.

Albury City Council Digital Outdoor Gallery
Aimed at introducing multimedia and the digital arts to regional Australia, the Albury City Council Digital Art Outdoor Gallery project encourages established and emerging artists, digital students, short film makers and animators to present their work to a new audience. Successful Artists will receive AU$200 as a Viewing Fee per exhibited work.

AIHW / NRHA Art Competition
Do you live in rural Australia? Do you like to paint? Would you like your artwork to appear on the cover of Australia’s health 2012? The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, in partnership with the National Rural Health Alliance, is conducting an art competition to source cover art for AIHW’s publications. RIVERINA RED GUM REGIONAL EMPLOYMENT AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND (‘RRGRECDF’) – ROUND 2
The NSW Government’s Environmental Trust would like to announce applications to the second round of the Riverina Red Gum Regional Employment and Community Development Fund (RRGRECDF) have opened. The second and final round of funding is targeting small to medium sized enterprises. A total of $2.5 million is available and applicants can seek grants of between $1,000 and $200,000 for projects designed to boost economic development in the Riverina Red Gum areas.
