Dear Subscriber,
Saturday 22nd May was an amazing comedy night, which was enjoyed by all at the Hilston Community Hall. Five comedians from the Melbourne International Comedy Road Show entertained a crowd of 150 people. This event received funding from the Country Arts Support Program (CASP). Another CASP funded activity held last month was a two day farm art workshop at the Deniliquin Men's Shed, the pieces created that weekend will be on display at the Peppin Heritage Centre this month.
Another memorable event held in May was the theatre performance 'Burnt' by Sydney Theatre Company and Zeal Theatre. The performance toured to Hilston, Hay and Booroorban. The performance dealt with many issues faced in farming families in our community and was extremely well received by the audience at the Boorooban who gave the actors a standing ovation.
In June we have Zeal Theatre touring to Deniliquin, the North Tuppal Station Historical 72 Stand Shearing Shed Re-enactment on 4th and 5th June and also a free grant writing workshop 10th June in Tocumwal. To see it all scroll down and or visit our Events Calendar.
Keep an eye out for Fund It!, our monthly funding e-bulletin that will arrive in your inbox mid-month. It lists some highlights from our online Funding Database, an excellent resource for artists and community organisations.
Enjoy your arts
