SOUTH WEST ARTS NEWS

Mal Webb performed at Deniliquin, Barham and Tocumwal and entertained audiences with his lively music. His ballads had people laughing and they were amazed at what instruments he played.

Milliner Waltraud Reiner, who has an international reputation as both a designer and tutor returned to the south west region to host Millinery Workshops. Participants had the opportunity to make a hat and/or expand their skills in hat making. South West Arts received funding from the Sidney Myer Fund through their Arts and Humanities Small Grants Program to deliver the workshop series. “We had an amazing response to Waltraud’s workshops, there was even a waiting list for most workshops. All the participants enjoyed creating innovative hats and I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see a few at the Melbourne Cup”, said Regional Arts Development Officer Alyce Fisher
