A reminder about some of the forthcoming Poetry Business events:



Sheffield Poetry Festival
Friday 1st April — Sunday 3rd April

The first Sheffield Poetry Festival will officially begin on Friday 1st April, and The Poetry Business is delighted to be a stakeholder.

A huge variety of events will be hosted around the city, including 25 Years in The North, the launch of Ed Reiss' first full-length collection (reading alongside Simon Armitage), and a reading and discussion with Ann Atkinson and River Wolton

'Poetry and the Tyranny of Relevance'
Monday 4th April, 6:15pm (for a 6:30pm start) — Bank Street Arts, Sheffield

The Poetry Business is sponsoring the Leeds Salon discussion, 'Poetry and the Tyranny of Relevance'. Michael Schmidt, George Szirtes, Michele Ledda and David Bowden (Chair) will be on the panel.

25 Years of Smith/Doorstop Books
Wednesday 6th April, 8pm —
Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX

As part of the celebrations of '25 Years of Smith/Doorstop Books & The North Magazine', Gerard Benson, Yvonne Green, Michael Laskey, Allison McVety and Catherine Smith will be reading at the Saison Poetry Library. Admission is free but space is limited, so arrive early to avoid disappointment. To guarantee a place email specialedition@poetrylibrary.org.uk.
