The postal strike
Dear poets,
Due to delays resulting from the postal strikes, we've decided to extend the deadlines for our Writing School and forthcoming residential course.
To apply for the Writing School, send us:
- a sample of 10 poems (published or unpublished),
- a short covering letter stating why you want to come on the course,
- and a short cv with publication details.
If you're applying by post, just make sure your application is postmarked
Thursday 5 November or earlier. Feel free to apply by email at office@poetrybusiness.co.uk.
Find out more about the Writing School
here.
To apply to attend the residential course, send
- a short statement about what you hope to get from the week
- and a brief biographical note
To apply by post, make sure your application is postmarked
Tuesday 17 November or earlier – and email applications can be sent to office@poetrybusiness.co.uk.
Find out more about the residential course
here.
We'd also like to reassure those of you concerned about getting your competition entries to us on time.
The rules state that entries must be postmarked
no later than November 29th – so even if yours is delayed, as long as it's posted by that date you'll still be eligible. And you can of course enter online this year. (See our website
here for details of how this works.)
Do get in touch if you have any queries about any of the above, or if would like to check that your application or competition entry has arrived.
Best wishes
from all at The Poetry Business
