Dear parents & students,

November is just around the corner! Congratulations to everyone who has successfully completed our 21 day practice challenge! We hope you keep this new habit of daily practice going forward as it is invaluable for progress!

Thank you to all of our performers and guests who made our October Music Festival a success! It is always a pleasure to see our students present their hard work!

WINTER CONCERTS

November is all about preparing for winter concerts!

Group classes will be preparing for their in-class winter concerts taking place during regular class time December 15th-21st. This is the last week before our winter break. We can accommodate up to 3 guests per student in the class:-)

Individual students will be preparing for their winter recital on December 15th. The deadline to sign up for this winter recital is November 19th.

We also have several exciting offerings beyond our individual piano and group keyboard classes! Scroll to learn more!

Individual Student's Winter Recital

Individual students are invited to perform at their winter recital taking place:

Friday, December 15th between 4:30pm - 7:30pm

at Infiniti Strings (violin shop)

located at 351 Ferrier St #1, Markham, ON L3R 5Z2

Price: $25 / performing student

The deadline to sign up for this winter recital is November 19th! To register, please email us at info@88keys.ca or fill out the registration form linked below. Please make sure to indicate names of ALL participating students in your family.

Sick Policy

This is a friendly reminder to all community members to please stay home if sick or feeling unwell regardless of whether it is Covid.

We understand some students have a habitual or asthmatic cough that can last for a long time - please let us and your teacher know and continue to wear masks during flares,

Unionville Music Competition (UMC) 2023

The Unionville Music Competition (UMC) returns this year!

Young talents are welcome to enter into various competition categories which vary by age and whether entering as RCM or non-RCM curriculum participants. Registration is currently OPEN!

The registration & payment deadline is October 31st. We encourage all interested students to let their teachers know and to find out more about the competition from the UMC site! Click the buttons below for more information!

Vocal Group Class with Ms. Alondra

Calling all songbirds! Our vocal group class is coming back!

We are so happy to announce the return of our group voice program led by

Ms. Alondra! Here is another opportunity to enrich children's musical learning with mastery of the most unique instrument... their voice! This fun program works to help children develop confidence in their singing and speech, all to the tune of a variety of grooves including classical, easy jazz, and pop tunes!

We are looking to run our vocal class on Saturdays @9:35 AM for approx 50 minutes each. The program runs until June.

NEW! Composition Master Group Class

Calling all composers!!

We are so excited to announce that we will be offering a new composition masterclass group program this academic year! Under the instruction of our teachers Ms. Alondra and Mr.D who hold a master of music composition, students will learn everything about composing and playing the songs of their own creative imagination!!
