We are excited to announce that we will now be offering group theory classes!
For Yamaha group & Pianoforte individual students, these classes will help develop music theory knowledge outside of the regular lesson/class time. It also gets students used to converting the solfege notes (Do-Mi-So) they know, to their standard letter names (A through G). For students who may switch to the RCM curriculum in the future, this will make the switch easier as RCM uses standard notation as well.
For our RCM students, these classes present the opportunity to focus on theory concepts separate from their regular playing lesson time. Please note, while the group class covers the relevant level's theory concepts, these classes are not specific to RCM theory exam preparation. If you are looking to take RCM theory exams in the near future, please let us know! An exam-specific theory group class may be opened if there is demand! Otherwise, private RCM theory lessons are always an option too :-)

Courses are separated by level:
Beginner class for JMC4, YMC3, Pianoforte 5-6, RCM 3-4
18 weeks of 1 hour classes (18hrs total) | Price: $342
Intermediate class for JAC1-2, Pianoforte 7-8, RCM 5-6
18 weeks of 1 hour classes (18hrs total) | Price: $342
Advanced class for JAC3-4, Pianoforte 9-10, RCM 7-8
18 weeks of 1.5 hour classes (27hrs total) | Price: $504
