ナイル・ケティングさんニューヨークへ！ 
NILE KOETTING in New York!

 

ナイル・ケティングさん（ACC 2023）が、ニューヨークにて半年間のフェローシップを開始しました。ケティングさんは、コラボレーションや領域横断的な制作プロセスを通じて、パーフォマンスやサウンド、ビデオなど、多様なメディアを取り入れたインスタレーションを制作しています。近年は空気や香り、光、音といった不可視の素材を含む没入型の「パフォーマティブ・インスタレーション」を展開し、観客と作品空間の境界があいまいな新たな舞台としての作品体験を創造しています。今回のフェローシップでは、領域横断的な表現を模索する動きが生まれた、第一次世界大戦後のニューヨークを中心とした「反芸術」の資料に触れるとともに、領域横断的表現の現代に至るまでの軌跡とWeb3.0時代における実践をリサーチします。

Nile Koetting (ACC 2023) started his 6-month fellowship in New York. Through cross-disciplinary production processes and collaborations, Koetting has produced installation using diverse media including performance, sound, and video. In recent years, he has developed immersive "performative installations" that include invisible materials such as air, scent, light, and sound, creating a new experience of work as a stage where the boundaries between the audience and the work are blurred. In this fellowship, Koetting will study “anti-art” movement centered in New York after World War I, where the search for cross-disciplinary expression began, and research the trajectory of cross-disciplinary expression up to the present day and its practices in the Web 3.0 era.

近年の主な展覧会に、「アートバーゼル　Paris+」(2022、パリ)、「Sharjapan3」シャルジャアートファウンデーション (2021)、「Anticorps」パレ・ド・トーキョー（2020、パリ)、「保持冷静」センターポンピドゥ上海（2019）、「Remain Calm」クンストフェライン・ゲッティンゲン（2019）、「モスクワビエンナーレ 」 新トレチャコフ・ギャラリー（2017）、「曖昧な関係」銀座メゾンエルメスフォーラム（2017、東京）、「New Sensorium」ZKM、カールスルーエ（2016）、「六本木クロッシング」森美術館(2016)など。2022年、パレ・ド・トーキョーでのパリファッションウィークファッションショーの演出、ベルリンの劇場Hebbel Am Uferでは空間演出を担当。2018年文化庁新進芸術家海外研修員。

 

Koetting’s works have been presented at ‘Art Basel Paris +’ (2022); ‘Sharjapan3’, Sharjah Art Foundation (2021); ‘Anticorps’, Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2020); ‘保持冷静’, Centre Pompidou Shanghai (2019); ‘Remain Calm’, Kunstverein Göttingen (2019); ‘Moscow Biennale’ New Tretyakov Gallery (2017); ‘Liaisons Ambiguës’, Maison Hermès Forum, Tokyo (2017); ‘New Sensorium’ ZKM, Karlsruhe (2016); ‘Roppongi Crossing’ Mori Art Museum, Tokyo (2016). In 2022, he directed a fashion show at Paris Fashion Week at Palais de Tokyo, and also a scenography for a festival at the Hebbel Am Ufer theater in Berlin. In 2018 he was awarded the Overseas Study Program for Artists by the Agency for Cultural Affairs of the Japanese Government.

許家銘（ジャミン・シュ）さん、許立縈（リーイン・シュ）さん来日！  
Chia-Ming Hsu and Li-Ying Hsu in Japan! 

 ジャミンさん（ACC2021, 2023）は中国オペラ、台湾オペラ、台湾の伝統音楽の南管、北管に精通する台湾の音楽家・作曲家です。台湾では数少ない、伝統音楽のバックグラウンドを持つ領域横断的な作曲家として、サウンドアート、コンピューター音楽、電子音響を実験的に取り入れた伝統劇や現代劇、映画のための作曲をしています。コラボレーターのリーインさん（ACC2023）は京劇の女性役を演じる台湾の俳優・パフォーマーで、伝統的な京劇や国内外での公演のほか、ドラマ、ビデオ、ポピュラー音楽などの分野でも活躍しています。今回の約３ヶ月のフェローシップでは、ジャミンさんは三味線と日本の伝統音楽を、リーインさんは日本舞踊を学ぶ予定です。異なる文化でありながら似たアイデンティティを持つ日本の芸術の伝統と現代における発展を学ぶことで、伝統芸能に対する理解を深め、台湾を代表するような独自の作品を創作することを目指しています。

 

Chia-Ming Hsu (ACC 2021, 2023) is a musician and composer who is well-versed in Chinese Opera, Taiwanese Opera, Nanguan and Beiguan. Hsu is recognized as one of a few cross-genre composers in Taiwan with a traditional music background, experimenting with sound art, computer music, and electronic sound for traditional and contemporary theater compositions and film scoring. The collaborator, Li-Ying Hsu (ACC 2023), is a Taiwanese Peking Opera actor specialized in the role of young women. Hsu is active in traditional and cross-border performances and extends her artistic endeavors in dramas, videos, and popular music. During their 3-month fellowship, Chia-Ming will study shamisen and traditional Japanese music and Li-Ying Nihon-buyo. By learning the traditions and contemporary development of the Japanese arts, a different culture but with a similar identity, they aim to deepen their understanding of traditional forms and create unique works that will represent Taiwan.

許家銘（ジャミン・シュ）
国立台湾戯曲学院で京胡を専攻し、国立伝統芸術センター国光劇団で活動した後、栢樂座の芸術監督を務める。台北木偶劇団、高雄市国楽団、好劇団をはじめとする多くの劇団に音楽を提供するほか、フリーランスの作曲家として映画音楽や、アルバム、サウンドトラックのレコーディングなども手掛ける。

許立縈（リーイン・シュ）
国立台湾戯曲学院卒業。当代伝奇劇場、台北新劇団、国光劇団などで活躍後、フリーランスの女優・パフォーマーとして活動。近年は、バンド「同根生」のアルバム『HOLY GAZAI』に収録された『白蛇情人』のパフォーマンスや、王墨林演出、ミスター・ウイング・シアターカンパニーのプロデュースによる『Hezhu: a Play of Play(er)s』に出演し高く評価される。

 

Chia-Ming HSU
Hsu graduated from the National Taiwan College of Performing Arts, majoring in Jinghu and worked with Guoguang Opera Company of the National Center for Traditional Arts. He is currently the artistic director of Po Gak Band. He has composed music for Taipei Puppet Theater, Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra, Hao Theater among others and has also worked as a freelance composer for film scores, albums, and soundtrack recordings. 

Li-Ying Hsu
After graduating from the National Taiwan College of Performing Arts, Hsu has worked with Contemporary Legend Theater, Taipei Li-yuan Peking Opera Theatre and Guoguang Opera Company and now is a freelance performer. Noteworthy recent projects include her performance of the song "Snake White" in the album "HOLY GAZAI" by the band "A Root" and the performance in "Hezhu: a Play of Play(er)s" directed by Mo-Lin Wang and produced by Mr. Wing Theatre Company.
