ACCのグラント応募者の中で、日本はアジアの中で最も人気のあるディスティネーションです。今秋、香港、中国、フィリピンより計３名のグランティが来日し、それぞれがリサーチ活動を行っています。

 

Japan is indeed the most popular destination among Asia for applicants for ACC fellowship and grant programs. This autumn three grantees from Hong Kong, China and the Philippines arrived in Japan and started conducting their research.

ゲイバード（キース・リョン）さんは多分野の領域を横断する香港のアーティスト、作曲家、電子音楽家であり、音、ビジュアル、テクノロジーを駆使した作品やパフォーマンス、インスタレーションを通じて独自の音の世界を創造しています。これまでに制作した大規模なメディアアートパフォーマンスでは毎回異なる世界各地のアーティスト、デザイナー、ミュージシャン、技術者らと協働し、国際的な活動を展開しています。今回の約2ヶ月間のフェローシップでは、日本の最新のアートとテクノロジーを調査し、メディアアーティストらとの交流を通して、新たな作品やパフォーマンスの構想、また香港での協働に繋げることを目指しています。

 

Leung Kei-cheuk aka GayBird is a multidisciplinary artist, composer and electronic musician who explores the unique realm of sound through works and performances that utilize sound, visuals, and technology. In his large-scale media art performances he has produced to date, he has collaborated with various artists, designers, musicians, and technicians from around the world, expanding his international activities. During his 2-month fellowship in Japan, he aims to observe and study the latest art and technology, engaging with media artists to develop new ideas for works and performances, and to foster new collaborations in Hong Kong.

キース・リョン（ゲイバード）

香港城市大学で創造メディアの修士号、香港演芸学院で音楽の修士号を取得し、現在香港で音楽ディレクター、作曲家、演奏者、プロデューサーとして活動。音楽作品は、アジア作曲家連盟音楽コンクール、香港映画賞、台湾ゴールデンハウス映画賞などを受賞、またノミネートされています。また、M+ミュージアム、香港ニュー・ビジョン・フェスティバル、東九龍文化センター、香港ビジュアルアートセンターなどからメディアアートパフォーマンスを委託。サウンドインスタレーションは、アルス・エレクトロニカ、オズアジア、デジタル・アート・フェスティバル、EXITフェスティバルなどで展示されています。イギリスの「3Dおよびインタラクティブ賞」（ルーメン・プライズ）を受賞。

 

Leung Kei-cheuk (GayBird)

Graduated from the City University of Hong Kong with master of philosophy in creative media and Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with Master of Music degree. He has been active as music director, composer, performer and producer. His music works have been nominated or awarded in Asian Composer League music Competition, Hong Kong Film Award, Taiwan Golden House Film Award, and others. His media art performance was commissioned by M+ Museum, Hong Kong New Vision Festival, East Kowloon Cultural Center, Hong Kong Visual Art Center, etc. He has exhibited his sound installation in Ars Electronica Festival (Austria), OzAsia Festival (Australia), Digital Art Festival (Greece), EXIT Festival (France), etc. and received “3D and Interactive” award in Lumen Prize in England.

ファン・ヤンさん Yan Fang

 

ファン・ヤンさんは、パリと上海を拠点として活動するキュレーター、美術史家、執筆家で、フランス国立近代美術館／ポンピドゥーセンターにて研究、収蔵、キュレーションを担当後、2020年からUCCA中国現代美術センターのキュレーターを務めています。これまで視覚芸術と音楽の領域を横断するキュレーションや、フルクサスとドイツや中国のアーティストとの関わりについて研究を行ってきました。今回の約2ヶ月のフェローシップでは、日本のサウンドアートとフルクサスの関係を調査し、アーティストや音楽家、キュレーター、研究者との対話を通して、フルクサスの国際的な活動の今日的意義と再評価を考察します。 

 

Yan Fang is a curator, art historian, and writer based in Paris and Shanghai. After working on research, acquisitions, and curatorial practices at the Musée National d'Art Moderne/Centre Pompidou in France, she has been a curator at the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in China since 2020. Fang has conducted cross-disciplinary curation that intersects visual arts and music and has investigated Fluxus and its relationships with artists from Germany and China. In this fellowship, she aims to explore the intersections of sound art and Fluxus in Japan, and through dialogues with artists, musicians, researchers, curators, and scholars, examine the significance and reevaluation of Fluxus's cosmopolitan ideals in today's atomized society.

パンテオン・ソルボンヌ大学で美学（芸術と文化）の学士号と、美術史（美術史と哲学を専攻）の修士号を取得。フランス国立近代美術館／ポンピドゥーセンターにてリサーチ＆グローバリゼーション部門とニューメディア・コレクション部門で研究、収蔵、キュレーションを担当した後、2020年から、UCCA中国現代美術センターでキュレーターを務める。様々な展覧会や実験的プロジェクトのキュレーションや共同企画を行っている。またArtforum、ArtReview AsiaやLEAP Magazineなどの出版物に記事を執筆している。

 

Yan Fang

Yan Fang holds a B.A. in Aesthetics (Arts and Culture) and an M.A. in History of Art (specializing in History of Art and Philosophy) from the Panthéon-Sorbonne University. Yan Fang previously worked at the Musée National d'Art Moderne/Centre Pompidou, where she contributed to research, acquisition, and curatorial aspects in both the Research & Globalization Department and the New Media Collection Department. Since 2020, she has served as a curator at the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in China, curating and co-curating various exhibitions and experimental projects. Her writings have been featured in publications such as Artforum, ArtReview Asia, LEAP Magazine, and other platforms.

 

ACC 2024年度グランティ(フィリピン) | ACC 2024 Grantee, The Philippines

ピーター・ジョン・ナティビダッドさん Peter John Natividad   

ナティビダッドさんは、フィリピンのロペス美術館・図書館のコレクション管理担当者であり、また作品保全の専門家として、フィリピン国内の公立・私立美術館の作品保存についての定期的な技術サポートやコンサルティングも行っています。また、これまでにシンガポール国立美術館、プラド美術館、米国のウォーカーアートセンターなどと作品保管や展示環境、輸送等に関する技術開発や知識交換を行い、国際的なパートナーシップも築いています。今回の日本でのフェローシップは、日本の美術館で使用される展示や保管のための予防保全や保存のための技術や手法を調査し、日本の美術館との情報共有ならびにフィリピンの美術館におけるコレクション管理システムの向上を目指しています。また、日本の耐震制御技術についても調査し、日本と同様に地震が多いフィリピンにおける文化財保護のための耐震制御システムの開発も目的としています。

 

Natividad is the Collections Management Consultant at the Lopez Museum and Library in the Philippines. He also provides guidance on the technical issues involved in the general preventive maintenance of cultural heritage objects to other public and private museums in the Philippines. He has engaged in technical development and knowledge exchange regarding artwork storage, exhibition environments, and transportation with institutions such as the National Gallery of Singapore, the Prado Museum, and the Walker Art Center in the United States, establishing international partnerships. His fellowship in Japan aims to investigate preventative conservation systems and methods used in Japanese museums for exhibition and storage to share information with Japanese museums and improve the collection management systems of museums in the Philippines. Additionally, the fellowship includes research into Japan's seismic control technology, with the goal of developing a seismic control system for cultural heritage preservation in the Philippines, which, like Japan, is prone to earthquakes.

ロペス美術館・図書館のコレクション・マネジメント・コンサルタント。イグレシア・ニ・クリスト博物館、フィリピン文化センター、フィリピン大学、デ・ラ・サール大学美術館、メトロバンク財団、バルガス美術館、バンコ・デ・オロ、ムセオ・コルディリェラ、アテネオ美術館、イロイロ現代美術館（ILOMOCA）、マニラ・メトロポリタン美術館、フィリピン中央銀行など、さまざまな機関にもコンサルティングを行っている。インドのラックナウにある文化財保存のための国立研究所でアート保存のディプロマを取得。グレーター・マニラ・エリア美術館連盟（AGMAM）の創設メンバーの一人であり、アンゴノ・アーティスト協会の副会長を務める。近年まで、国立博物館協議会文化芸術委員会の副委員長を務める。

 

Peter John Natividad

Peter John Natividad is the Collections Management Consultant of the Lopez Museum and Library. He also consults for various institutions such as the Iglesia Ni Cristo Museum, Cultural Center of the Philippines, University of the Philippines, De La Salle University Museum, Metrobank Foundation, Inc., Vargas Museum, Banco de Oro, Museo Kordilyera, Ateneo Art Gallery, Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA), Metropolitan Museum of Manila, and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, among others. He received his diploma in Art Conservation from the National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property in Lucknow, India. He is one of the founding members of Alliance of Greater Manila Area Museums (AGMAM) and sits as the Vice Chairman for the Angono Artists Association. He was the recent Vice Head of the National Committee on Museums of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
