The 3rd ACC Fellowship Report Meeting 2024

アジアの国と地域で昨年から今年にかけてフェローシップを行なった2023年度グランティ3名によるフェローシップ報告会を、審査員を務めて下さった高橋宏幸さん（ACC 2012）にもご参加いただき、実施いたしました。

ユニ・ホン・シャープさんは、昨年韓国で約2ヶ月間のフェローシップを行い、新作のテーマである「暴力」について、歴史的および文化的観点からリサーチを行い、考察を深めました。韓国で得た洞察は、今月横浜国際舞台芸術ミーティング（YPAM）で初演された、レクチャーパフォーマンス3部作の第2作『ENCORE – violet』に反映されています。

小林勇輝さんは、香港で6ヶ月間のフェローシップを行い、中国武術の詠春拳を現地の道場で本格的に学びました。その結果、袁炎強詠春國術曾からインストラクターの証書を、さらに詠春拳協会から正式な師傅および正会員の証書を授与されました。滞在中には、中国広東省の佛山市や広州市、杭州市、福建省なども訪れ、詠春拳の歴史やさまざまな流派についての探求を深めました。

団体助成を受けたオフィスアルブは北村明子さんを代表とする日本のチームに、インド・マニプールの音楽家のマンガンサナさんを迎え、フィリピンで約1ヶ月間のリサーチとフィールドワークを行いました。現地では、海を生活の場とするサマバジャウ族や、ミンダナオ島のヤカン族などの先住民族の生活文化と伝統的な踊りに触れ、コミュニティ・リーダーやダンサー、ヒーラーの方々にもインタビューを行いました。
今回の報告会は、アジアに渡航したグランティとして共通する関心もあり、互いに刺激を受け合う場にもなりました。

 

The fellowship report meeting was held with three grantees of the 2023 grant year, who conducted fellowships in countries and regions across Asia between last year and this year. We were pleased to have Mr. Hiroyuki Takahashi (ACC 2012), who served as a jury member, participate in the meeting.

Yuni Hong Charpe carried out a fellowship in South Korea for about two months last year, focusing on the theme of violence from historical and cultural perspectives. The insights Yuni gained during the fellowship were reflected in the second part of her lecture-performance trilogy, “ENCORE – Violet,” which was premiered this month at the Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting (YPAM).

Yuki Kobayashi completed a six-month fellowship in Hong Kong, where he studied the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun at a local dojo. As a result, he was awarded an instructor’s certificate by Yuen Yim Keung Ving Tsun Martial Arts Association and, additionally, was officially recognized as a "Master" and full member by the Wing Chun Association. During his stay, he also visited various cities in Guangdong Province, including Foshan, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou, as well as Fujian Province, where he deepened his research into the history and different schools of Wing Chun.

Office ALB, an organization grant recipient, conducted research and fieldwork in the Philippines for about one month, led by Akiko Kitamura from Japan, in collaboration with Mangangsana, a musician from Manipur, India. During their stay, they engaged with the culture and traditional dances of indigenous peoples, including Sama-Bajau and Yakan tribes from Mindanao, and conducted interviews with community leaders, dancers, and healers.
The session also provided an opportunity to learn about the interests and activities of other grantees who had conducted research in Asia, creating a space for mutual inspiration.

この度、寺田航平氏が、11月25日付で一般財団法人アジアン・カルチュラル・カウンシル（ACC）日本財団の理事に就任致しましたことをお知らせします。代表理事麻生和子からのメッセージを含めたお知らせ全文はこちらをご参照ください。

就任のご挨拶
この度ACC日本財団の理事に就任いたしました寺田航平です。
日本と世界の文化の架け橋である当財団の一員として、日本のアート業界の更なる発展に向けて、微力ではありますが、誠心誠意努力して参りたいと思います。

寺田航平（てらだこうへい）氏について
慶應義塾大学法学部法律学科卒業後、三菱商事に入社。1999年三菱商事を退社し、寺田倉庫に入社。2000年、IT企業ビットアイルを設立し代表取締役社⻑CEOに就任。2018年寺田倉庫株式会社取締役社長COOを経て2019年6月より寺田倉庫株式会社代表取締役社長（現任）。美術品、ワイン、映像・音楽コンテンツの保管事業、天王洲を中心としたエリアマネジメントを事業基盤とし、近年は現代アートのコレクターズミュージアム、若手アーティストを支援するアートギャラリーカフェ、アート複合施設など芸術文化発信施設の運営も手掛ける。2023年4月より公益社団法人経済同友会 副代表幹事(現任)。

I am honored to have been appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees of the ACC Japan Foundation.

As part of this foundation, which serves as a cultural bridge between Japan and the world, I am committed to contributing, in whatever way I can, to the further development of Japan’s art industry. I will dedicate myself wholeheartedly to this mission.

Kohei Terada　[profile]
Kohei Terada joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 1993 after graduating from Keio University with a B.A. in law. He established Bit-isle Inc., a data center operating company, and became President in 2000. In June 2018, he became President & Director of his family’s business, Warehouse TERRADA, and has served as President & CEO since June 2019. The company's business foundation is based on the storage of art works, wine, video and music content, and area management centered on Tennozu. In recent years, it has also been involved in the operation of art and culture transmission facilities such as a museum for contemporary art collectors, an art gallery cafe to support young artists, and an art complex. He became a Vice Chairperson of KEIZAI DOYUKAI (Japan Association of Corporate Executives) in April 2023.
