アオキ裕キさんが、マレーシアにて約1ヶ月のフェローシップを行っています。
マレーシアのプナン族のコミュニティに滞在して、狩猟採集の営みを身体的に経験し、自然と共に生きる知性と都市生活における身体性の違いを学びます。プナン族と関わりの深い文化人類学者の協力を得ながら、採集や移動、食事の準備といった日々の営みに関わり、言語に頼らない共同作業を通じて、互いの価値観や身体観が立ち上がる文化交流を探究します。現代社会への重要な問いともなるプナンの共同性と循環の思想を習得し、都市の身体と狩猟採集の身体をつなぐ新たな表現の可能性を探ります。これらの体験や知見を自身の創作やワークショップに還元することを目指しています。

Yuuki Aoki is undertaking a one-month fellowship in Malaysia.
He is staying with a Penan community in Malaysia, experiencing their hunter-gatherer practices firsthand and exploring their knowledge of living in harmony with nature. With the support of a cultural anthropologist closely connected to the Penan community, he is taking part in daily activities such as gathering food, traveling, and preparing meals, exploring a form of cultural exchange in which shared values and bodily awareness emerge through nonverbal collaboration. Aoki aims to explore new forms of expression that connect urban and hunter-gatherer embodiment, while deepening his understanding of the Penan’s communal and cyclical worldview, which offers important insights for contemporary society. He seeks to bring these experiences and insights into his creative practice and workshops.

アオキ裕キ
ダンサー／振付家。劇団にて演技やダンスを学び、テーマパークダンサーやタレントのバックダンサー、インストラクターとして活動後、2001年、ニューヨーク滞在中に9・11同時多発テロに遭遇。活動の軸を人間の本質への探究にシフトし、2006年、路上生活経験者とダンスグループ「新人Hソケリッサ！」を結成。国内外で公演・ワークショップを展開し、屋外空間での表現や社会的包摂を主題に活動を続ける。近年は教育機関でも教鞭を執る。主な受賞にNEXTREAM21最優秀賞（2004）、コニカミノルタソーシャルデザインアワードグランプリ（2016）など。

Yuuki AOKI
A dancer and choreographer, Aoki trained in acting and dance at a theatre company and has worked as a theme park performer, backup dancer, and instructor. In 2001, while staying in New York, he experienced the September 11 attacks, which led him to explore the essence of human existence. In 2006, he founded the dance group “Newcomer H Sokerissa!” with people who have experienced homelessness. He has since presented performances and workshops both in Japan and abroad, focusing on expression in outdoor spaces and social inclusion. In recent years, he has also taught at educational institutions. His awards include the NEXTREAM21 Grand Prize (2004) and the Konica Minolta Social Design Award Grand Prize (2016).

モー・ライ・ヤン・チーさんは、演出、脚本、演技、教育など幅広い活動を行う演劇・映画監督です。自身の創作活動や世界の演劇についての研究を通じて、異なる文化がどのようにそれぞれ異なる方法で人間の物語を伝えてきたのかに関心を深め、「普遍的な物語を伝える非言語的アプローチ」を探究しています。日本での6か月間のフェローシップでは、身体表現を通して、古代から現代に至るまで、物語がどのように伝えられてきたのかを研究します。能、歌舞伎、文楽の美学や様式、創作プロセス、トレーニング方法に加え、舞踏や現代のフィジカル・シアターについて、アーティストや演劇関係者との交流、リハーサルの見学、ワークショップや公演への参加、アーカイブ調査などを通して学びます。日本の豊かな演劇文化から学ぶとともに、動きや物語表現における新たなアプローチを見出し、香港および国際的な場での自身の創作活動の可能性を広げることを目指します。 |

Mo Lai Yan Chi is a theatre and film director whose practice spans directing, writing, acting, and teaching. Through her work and study of world theatre, she became interested in how different cultures have developed different ways of telling human stories, leading her to explore “non-verbal approaches as a universal storytelling language.” During her six-month fellowship in Japan, she will research how stories are being told from ancient to modern times through physical theatre. She will study the aesthetics, styles, and creative and training methods of Noh, Kabuki, and Bunraku, as well as Butoh and contemporary physical theatre, through exchanges with artists and theatre practitioners, rehearsals, workshops, performances, and archive research. She aims to learn from Japan’s rich theatrical heritage while discovering new approaches to movement and storytelling that can expand her creative practice in Hong Kong and internationally.

香港を拠点に活動する演劇・映画監督であり、Mo Production Company Limitedのアーティスティック・ディレクター。演出、脚本、俳優、クロスメディア・アート制作など幅広い分野で活動している。初監督作品『1+1』はIFVA Gold AwardおよびFresh Wave International Film FestivalのBest Film Awardを受賞し、長編映画『Band Four』は香港電影金像奨で4部門にノミネートされ、Best Original Film Scoreを受賞した。Ten Outstanding Young Persons (Hong Kong)および香港芸術発展局（HKADC）Young Artists Award（Film）の受賞者であり、Golden Horse Film AcademyおよびBerlinale Talentsにも選出されている。演劇作品として『Woman in Red』、香港シンフォニエッタとの『Book of Longing』などを手がける。リーズ大学で演劇制作修士号、嶺南大学で文化研究修士号、香港バプテスト大学で社会科学（コミュニケーション：映画・メディア）学士号を取得。

Mo LAI Yan Chi
Hong Kong-based theatre and film director and Artistic Director of Mo Production Company Limited, working across directing, screenwriting, acting, and cross-media art production. Her debut film 1+1 won the IFVA Gold Award and Best Film Award at the Fresh Wave International Film Festival, while Band Four received four Hong Kong Film Awards nominations and won Best Original Film Score. She is a recipient of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons (Hong Kong) and the HKADC Young Artists Award (Film), and was selected for the Golden Horse Film Academy and Berlinale Talents. Her theatre works include Woman in Red and Book of Longing with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. She holds an M.A. in Theatre Making from the University of Leeds, an M.A. in Cultural Studies from Lingnan University, and a B.A. in Social Sciences in Communication (Film and Media) from Hong Kong Baptist University.

今年1月から約2か月間、ニューヨークを拠点にフェローシップを行った黒田杏菜さんによる報告会を、森下スタジオにて開催しました。
黒田さんは、2024年に日本でワークショップを協働したトリシャ・ブラウン・ダンス・カンパニー（TBDC）を訪問し、さまざまな作品の振付を習得。現地のダンスやムーブメントのクラス、ワークショップにも多数参加しました。さらに、ロバート・ラウシェンバーグ生誕100周年記念公演で上演された『セット・アンド・リセット』とマース・カニンガムの『トラベローグ』のリハーサルにも参加。リハーサルの合間にカンパニーのメンバーやスタッフと交わしたさまざまな会話も貴重な経験となりました。また、各機関でのアーカイブ調査に加え、TBDCのアーキビストから映像記録の保存や活用について学ぶ機会も得ました。20年近く前の訪問時と比べ、英語力とダンサー・振付家としての経験を重ねた今だからこそ、今回のニューヨーク滞在は格段に実り多いものになったと黒田さんは振り返りました。 |

ACC Japan held a fellowship report session at Morishita Studio with Anna Kuroda, who completed a two-month fellowship based in New York beginning in January this year.
During her fellowship, Kuroda visited the Trisha Brown Dance Company (TBDC), with whom she collaborated on a workshop in Japan in 2024, and learned choreography from a range of TBDC’s works. She also attended numerous dance and movement classes and workshops, and participated in rehearsals for TBDC’s Set and Reset and Merce Cunningham’s Travelogue, both presented as part of the 100th anniversary celebration of Robert Rauschenberg’s birth. The conversations she had with company members and staff between rehearsals were also a valuable part of her experience. Kuroda also conducted archival research at various institutions and learned from TBDC’s archivist about the preservation and use of video documentation. Compared to her visit nearly 20 years ago, Kuroda reflected that her stronger English skills and experience as a dancer and choreographer made this stay in New York far more rewarding.
