Dear Friends and Supporters,

Our team is back from Marrakech full of joy and excitement after a fulfilling week with the road safety community, advocating for stronger laws and policies to safeguard vulnerable road users around the world. 

There are countless highlights to share from the journey to Morocco, but here are a few of our favourite achievements from our participation at the 4th Global Ministerial Meeting for Road Safety: 

• We were proud to launch our recently published Impact Report 2024 including our new logo and new AIP Foundation branding celebrating 25 years of saving lives. 
• Greig Craft, our Founder and President and Dr. Terry Smith launched the Global Child Helmet Standard aimed at safeguarding children when travelling on powered two-wheel vehicles. 
• Quyen Bui and Uyen Tran, our Youth delegates joined fellow youth from over 130 countries at the 3rd World Youth Assembly for Road Safety. Their focus was on promoting the importance of including youth voices at the decision-making level and empowering youth to solve the global road safety crisis.
• Quyen Bui from our team further spoke up during the ’Protecting Children on the World's Roads,’ panel hosted by FIA Foundation where she shared more about the case study of implementing the Safe School Zones Guide in Vietnam, including what factors contributed to achieving its success and how it can be scaled up in different countries. 
• We joined our friends at the Global Alliance for the ‘Helmets realities and solutions’ side event where Greig Craft spoke about the importance of safe helmets during the launch of the Alliance’s Helmet White Paper. 
• It was a true honor to catch up with our friends at the International Road Assessment Program and Star Ratings for Schools to celebrate five years of impact with the Star Ratings for Schools tool. 
• We were inspired by the official commitments made by the Governments of Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam in the global collaborative efforts to reduce 50% of injuries and fatalities on the world's roads by 2050. 
• We also had the chance to participate in the #CommitToLife: Walk and Ride inaugural event in support of the upcoming United Nations Global Road Safety Week 2025. The event was hosted by YOURS, Pikala Bikes Marrakech and the Global Alliance for Road Safety and focused attention on the need for safe, accessible, and sustainable mobility for all.

It was especially wonderful to catch up with many of our friends and partners at the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile and reunite with its Member Clubs with whom we advocated for stronger commitments and greater private sector involvement in the global effort to reduce road injuries and fatalities.
