Dear Friends and Supporters,
It’s that time of the year again - our Impact Report 2023 is officially published! I am immensely proud to share that we have impacted over 51 million people in 2023. As we approach the remarkable milestone of AIP Foundation’s 25th anniversary, your unwavering support has allowed us to grow as a coalition builder and catalyst to transform mobility through equity, sustainability and health.
We remain truly grateful for your steadfast support over the years.
From innovation to impact, we are touched to celebrate over 10 years of helmet safety progress together with Johnson & Johnson as part of our legacy program
Helmets for Kids. From 2012 to 2022, the program has provided over 79,076 helmets to schools across Vietnamese provinces, in addition to providing tools and resources to ensure children in the community are commuting to school safely.
Continuing to celebrate milestones, we welcomed Saul Billingsley, Executive Director of the FIA Foundation to join us in Ho Chi Minh City for the first implementation of the Safe School Zones Guide, making safer school zones a reality across the country. The modifications around the four project schools across Ho Chi Minh City represent the start of a series of life-saving actions to improve commuting safety for the millions of students, parents, teachers, and communities that travel to and from school daily.
Earlier this year, the
AI&Me program wrapped up across Yen Bai, Gia Lai and Ho Chi Minh City, and we marked the following successful results: over 20,000 pins were scored to indicate high-risk areas using the Youth Engagement App, and over 1,800 young students were empowered with mobility and road safety skills.
As the
AI&Me program comes to a close across Vietnam, we proudly launched the Scalability Analysis Report 2024. This Scalability Analysis Report sheds light on the feasibility, efficiency, and scalability of the
AI&Me digital framework for addressing road hazards and enhancing the public’s awareness of road safety risk after its 3 years of pilot implementation in Vietnam. The
AI&Me program has confirmed the approach's viability and the potential to replicate the successful and cost-efficient intervention in other countries worldwide.
The second half of 2024 is rapidly approaching and we are gearing up for the Safety 2024 Conference and the Australasian Road Safety Conference 2024. We hope to see many familiar faces, partners and friends there.
As we pave the way forward together, I invite you to please read on.
Sincerely,
Mirjam Sidik
