The time has come to share our Impact Report 2023 with you - and we are so thrilled to do so!
As we approach the remarkable milestone of AIP Foundation’s 25th anniversary, your unwavering support has allowed us to grow as a coalition builder and catalyst to transform mobility through equity, sustainability and health.
Looking back at 2023, I am immensely proud to share that we have impacted over 51 million people and provided quality education to over 300,000 people. Here are some of the critical lessons that have driven our impactful work this year:
The only way forward is together. We celebrated several milestones in our effort to promote safer journeys to school. Our
Safe School Zone Guide was endorsed by Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport – providing policymakers with a blueprint to improve the safety of school zones across the country. Our successes are built on a foundation of dedicated individuals and organizations who share our vision across the world.
Change begins with listening. We were proud to influence critical legislation across the region – including in Cambodia, which announced its commitment to reduce school speed limits to 30 kilometers per hour. A core objective of our work is to serve as a bridge between decision-makers and the community.
Young people are ready to contribute. One of the cornerstones of our success has been our dedication to empowering youth as catalysts of change. Young people are not just the recipients of our work; they are active partners. Within AIP Foundation, my young colleagues continuously inspire me with their passion and creativity, which allows us to innovate and evolve as an organization.
While significant work remains in the global effort to halve road traffic deaths and injuries by 2030, I hope the examples of impact, lessons learned, and community stories included in this year’s report serve as an essential reminder of our collective abilities to make a meaningful contribution – just as they have for me.
