Tune your lawn mower for better performance

It's not your '67 Mustang, but it needs TLC, too

The engine purrs as fuel mixes with plug-provided sparks, firing a machine that can be the worst nightmare of ... your front lawn? You're not cruising the strip like a teenager, your cutting strips in the grass around your home. Keep the mower maintained and it'll run like a high-performance machine. Here are a few simple tips:

.

And remember, your local Ace Hardware has one of the largest selections of lawn mowers in Central Illinois.

Salt Damage on your Lawn

When your neighborhood gets a snowstorm, big trucks go along the streets, plowing and spreading salt. You may also spread salt or ice-melter along your sidewalks walkways, and driveway. Some of that salt and ice-melter can end up on your lawn. Salts can kill your grass and make soil barren so that only weeds come back.
