CONGRATULATIONS! Thanks to the Leaders in Service Campaign, the Fraternity rolled out a brand new grant program in 2017 calling all active Alpha Phi Omega chapters in good standing with a creative, innovative service project idea to submit their proposal prior to the May 1 deadline. We are proud to announce that nine chapters have been selected to receive grants in the amount of $100-$500 to assist in the completion of the proposed service projects.

START AN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION! Starting an alumni association is an opportunity to enhance and continue the APO experience for yourself and fellow brothers as alumni. Although each alumni association varies on their purpose, they each offer unique benefits and opportunities, such as:
  • Leadership – Develop leadership skills as an alumni brother
  • Friendship – Promote and strengthen friendship with alumni brothers
  • Service – Provide community service with fellow alumni brothers
  • Network – Network with fellow alumni brothers
  • Impact – Interact with and mentor undergraduate brothers

NVC 2017 STARTS TODAY! The National Volunteer Conference (NVC) is taking place in Dallas, Texas, July 27-30! If you missed the July 1 registration deadline, be sure to keep up with your fellow alumni brothers via social media for highlights of the various leadership development, networking and fellowship opportunities.
DON'T FORGET! Make your contribution before July 31, 2017, in order to maintain your FY2016-17 Torchbearer status! The Alpha Phi Omega Torchbearer Fund supports the day-to-day operating expenses of the Fraternity. It provides much-needed revenue for things such as chapter services, membership records and operating funds for the National Office. Chapters receive supplies and materials, program materials are developed and taught and the National Office ensures communication throughout the Fraternity.
Torchbearer levels include:
  • Torchbearer - $75-$149
  • Silver Torchbearer - $150-$249
  • Gold Torchbearer - $250-499
  • Diamond Torchbearer - $500-$999
  • Silver Founders Circle - $1,000-$2,499
  • Gold Founders Circle - $2,500-$4,999
  • Diamond Founders Circle - $5,000 and above

BUILD YOUR LEGACY THROUGH SERVICE! APO is looking for alumni brothers to lend a helping hand. There are numerous ways to be of service with varying levels of responsibility. Here are a few ways that brothers can give of their time as an APO volunteer:
  • Serve as an Event Volunteer
  • Become an APO Certified Presenter
  • Assist as a Leadership Volunteer
  • Mentor and Guide as a Chapter Advisor
  • Serve on a Program Committee
  • Lead APO as a Sectional, Regional or National Officer
  • Help Extend APO to Other Campuses
