More Bakers - More Attendees -
More Reasons to Attend

Registrations for BakingTech are trending higher this year.  37 more bakers are currently registered than this time last year and total registrations compared to 2013 are also trending higher.  The program has two keynote speakers - one more than last year and 29 Technical Breakout Sessions, 11 more than last year.  More bakers, more keynotes, more education.  What more do you want?  Be sure to register to attend today.

 BakingTech 2014 Scholarships Still Available

Only one more scholarship is available for a new baker member to attend BakingTech 2014.

If you are a baking company member and would like to send an employee to BakingTech 2014 who is not an ASB member and has not previously attended the annual conference, please fill out the baker scholarship application and email it to ASB by February 7.  Awardees receive complimentary 1 year ASB membership, free registration to BakingTech, 4 night's hotel, registration to the ATBI breakfast and $255 for expenses.
 Young Professionals and BakingTech 2014

The ASB Young Professionals Committee, chaired by Brittny Stephenson, has planned networking and educational events at BakingTech for ASB members who are 40 years old and younger.

On Sunday, March 2 at 7:30 pm, join the young professionals for a Scavenger Hunt / Pub Crawl.  This event will be a great opportunity for young professionals to expand personal and professional networks!

On Monday, March 3 from 1:00-3:00 pm, join us for our educational session, The Q&A2.  Get two perspectives for every question asked by session attendees from professionals at different points in their career.  The session will include two panels (Young Professionals and Industry Leaders).  Currently confirmed panel participants include David and Morgan Murphy, Greg Tompkins and Anthony Turano.  This will be an interesting and educational event that students and young professionals are encouraged to attend!

Want to prepare for the Best Week in Baking and learn more about these events?  Join us for the second webinar in a series organized by the ASB Young Professionals Committee, A Young Professionals Guide to BakingTech.  This live webinar will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 3:00-4:00 pm EST.  Visit ASB's website to register: http://www.asbe.org/resources/webinars/
 Win an IPad Mini

ASB has added an incentive to the Free 1st Year Wholesale Baker campaign.  For every baker application returned with your name in the "Referred By" section you'll receive one (1) submission into the Society's IPad Mini drawing.  The deadline for the drawing submissions is February 21, 2014.

The winner will be announced March 4 during the closing reception of BakingTech 2014.

  • Want to email the application?  Click here to open the e-Baker application.  Feel free to save and attach it, or directly hyperlink it into an email body.
  • Prefer to give them a Baker Postcard application instead?  Email Amanda Gonzalez the desired quantity & your shipping address.

BE SURE they enter your name in the referral section to receive credit

  • Referring individuals must be active dues paying members.
 The Sanitary Design Workshop

"Great workshop.  Will recommend to everyone!"
"Hands-on exercises were very valuable."
"The level of expertise and commitment was exceptional."

That's what past participants have said about The Sanitary Design Workshop - a unique educational opportunity presented by experts who are "in the trenches" - employed in processing facilities.

The new workshop fee of $495 now makes it even easier to make an investment in engineers, sanitarians, and plant managers who will become your company's leaders in sanitary design.

Food safety concerns from consumers and regulatory organizations has never been higher.  This workshop gives you the tools you need to integrate food safety into your process, plant and equipment design.

Register and find out more information at www.sanitarydesignworkshop.org .
