No Kid Hungry Bake Sale - Save the Date
ASB is partnering with the Kansas City Chapter of No Kid Hungry to hold the “World’s Largest Bake Sale” to fight childhood hunger on September 15, 2018. The bake sale will be held in two different locations in Kansas City. Students from Kansas State University and The Ohio State University Bake Clubs will be preparing baked goods and traveling to Kansas city to help with the sale. Several ingredient companies have already agreed to supply the over 100 Kansas City area bakers with ingredients to help cover their costs, while suppliers of packaging and labels are also donating supplies.

In July, ASB will be reaching out to its members at bakeries and other allied members to ask for donations of breads, buns, sweet goods and other baked products, as well as additional allied members to seek donations to help with the bake sale. Please consider ways in which you and your company can help ASB and No Kid Hungry raise money through the “World’s Biggest Bake Sale” to fight childhood hunger. If you would like to donate bakery products, ingredients or other supplies, please contact ASB Executive Director Kent Van Amburg ( kvanamburg@asbe.org).
