Thank You for Another Successful BakingTech!

ASB Past Chairman Ramon Rivera, Planning Chair Mark Hotze, the 2016 Planning Committee and the Staff thank you for attending BakingTech 2016.

In the words of just one of this year's attendees:

"Please tell your staff that this was one of the best ASB conventions our two companies...BTS and Stewart...ever attended.  We had more leads, customer visits and actual orders than I can ever remember.  We got firm, new business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" -Len Kilby

If you missed BakingTech 2016 in Chicago, IL or would like to review the wealth of information presented during the three-day event, you can now download presentations in PDF format on the BakingTech 2016 website.

BakingTech 2016: Changing of the Guard

On March 1, during the closing general session, the gavel was passed to Mario Somoza.  Please join ASB staff in welcoming Mario as the Society's 2016-17 Chairman.

Be sure to read Mario's Chairman's Letter and learn about his inspiration for BakingTech 2017's theme: "Diversity: It's all in the mix!".

Congratulations to ASB's Newest 50 Year Members

Please join ASB in congratulating Victor Strama and Eugene Thomas as they celebrate their 50 year milestone with the Society.  The ASB Board of Directors extends its heartfelt thanks to these members for their devotion to the baking industry and long participation in ASB.  We thank them for their continued support of the Society.

ASB holds a ceremony every year at BakingTech to recognize these outstanding members.  This year Victor Strama was able to join us and called to stage to receive his 50 year certificate, pin and paperweight from ASB's executive Chairman Kent Van Amburg.  Please click here to read the heartfelt thank you Victor sent Kent.
 Missing Bundy Museum Items

Each year, Russ Bundy brings historical items from his collection at the Bundy Baking Museum to share with ASB members.  He does this at his own expense and out of his generosity and passion for the baking industry.

This year two bread loaves with Hershey wrappers were taken from one of the bread rack displays, and another was seen being carried out by an attendee.  If you know anything about this theft please share that information with ASB.  If you have the loaves, please send them to ASB and we will make sure they get back to the Bundy Baking Museum.  We would hate to think that Russ will be forced to stop bringing museum pieces to BakingTech.
