MarketPlace 2018 Table-top Registration Opens September 6 |
|
|
Returning 2017 MarketPlace exhibitors will be given priority table-top assignments for MarketPlace 2018. Registration will open on September 6, 2017 for returning 2018 MarketPlace Exhibitors.
MarketPlace 2017 returning exhibitors who wish to maintain their same table-top assignment must submit exhibitor application and payment by September 22, 2017.
If application and full payment are not received by September 22, 2017, table-top space will be forfeited, made available for general sale after September 22, and not guaranteed for MarketPlace 2018. All assignments after September 22 will be on a
first-come, first-serve basis.

The Society is in the planning stages for a workshop to be held this fall that will address the most pressing educational needs of the wholesale baking industry as identified in the Skills Gap Research Study - maintenance, mechanics and machinists.

"E" Scholarship Recipients |

For the second year, ASB is supporting the development of aspiring bakery engineers, mechanics, machinists and maintenance employees by providing scholarships for continuing education to grow their careers. ASB's Student Task Force awarded 5 scholarship of $4,000 each for the coming Fall and Spring semesters to these promising wholesale baking industry professionals:
- Timothy Asher - Maintenance: Flowers Baking Company of London, Kentucky - Somerset Community College: Electrician
- Matthew Cypher - Engineering Intern: Banner-Day - Saginaw Valley State University: Mechanical Engineering
- Edmond Ogletree - Mechanic: Flowers Baking Company of Montgomery, Alabama - Trenholm State Community College: Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
- Brandon Swanson - Assembly Electrician: Moline Machinery - University of Minnesota/Duluth: Electrical Engineering
- Jordan Witt - Maintenance Apprentice: Flowers Baking Company of London, Kentucky - University of the Cumberlands: Industrial Maintenance Technology
