2015 Audi TT Teased In New Video: 2014 Geneva Motor Show

MotorAuthority.com Feb. 27, 2014

The 2015 Audi TT will offer an all-new, high-tech interior first previewed at CES, and it will look as sleek and stylish as ever--if the sketches are a good indication--but this is our best look at the actual car to date. Fortunately, we have less than a week to wait for the real thing when it makes its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

From the artist's sketchbook to the body in white to the paint studio to sliding along in the frozen tundra, we get just a hint of how the 2015 TT will look, feel, and drive. As one of the brand's most iconic models of recent decades, it will be an important car to get right.

January & February Wrap Up

Collectible Cars & Coffee - Jan
25th

Audi Club members joined with Porsche Club people at Designs in Motion for a morning of fun, food & diecast cars.  Outside, the weather moderated just enough to bring out several interesting full-sized cars including a 2015 Corvette, several Porsches and, of course, our Audis.  Greg White of Designs in Motion made sure that the diecast collectors among us had a large selection of mini-cars to view and purchase.

Rolex 24 at Daytona Watch Party - Jan
26th

photo: AutoWeek
Audi Club members and sports car racing fans gathered at Satchmo's Bar & Grill to watch the last two hours of of the Rolex 24 at Daytona Tudor United Sportscar Series race.  The food at Satchmo's was great and priced right.  While their large-screen TV made it seem almost as if we were at the race; and What a Race it was!

In the GTD class, the last laps saw the Flying Lizard Audi R8 challenged Level 5 Racing's Ferrari for the win.  After the Ferrari crowded the Audi in a turn seemingly forcing the R8 off the track, Race Control penalized Leval 5, giving the win to Flying Lizard. Audi's celebration was short-lived when authorities determined that the cars did not touch and awarded the win to Ferrari two hours after the end of the race.

Competion in the other classes was also close with the
1st and 2nd place cars separated by mere seconds.  This new racing series has the potential to offer some great racing.  Several club members are discussing attending upcoming races in Indianapolis and Kansas City this year.  If you are interested, contact Steve Warren.

Car Club Swap Meet - Feb 1st
Members of many local car clubs gathered in the service bays at Exotic Motors Midwest on a cold and rainy day to buy and sell those unneeded auto parts and accessories.  One seller even brought several kiddie cars, including a mini Ferrari and a mini Porsche.

Keith Emery, our host, was pleased with the turnout and hopes to set up another swap meet after the weather turns this fall.

Social Night at Lafayette Square - Feb 11th
As it has been most of this winter, the evening's weather was perfect for members to enjoy a few glasses of wine in front of the fireplace at 33 Wine Shop and Tasting Bar in Lafayette Square.  In other words...cold and snowy.

Members who braved the weather had a great evening, enjoying fine wine and a great atmosphere at 33, and, after a quick discussion reviewing the merits of the many local restaurants, a quick walk down Park Avenue rewarded us with great Belgian food at Tripel Brasserie.  At Tripel, we found that one of the proprietors, Jim Darst, is a great Audi fan.  When he learned that we were all from the Audi Club, he shared shots of a Belgian
liqueur with all of us.  This topped off a fine evening for those members who ventured out.

Brewery Tour at Anheuser-Busch

On February 23 club members toured the Anheuser-Busch brewery, learning about the process of brewing beer.

We visited several parts of the brewery, including the stables where A-B keeps some of the Clydesdales and several historic Budweiser wagons including the original 1933 wagon and a replica of one that delivered the first beer to the White House at the end of Prohibition.

One of the many features of the Brewery is the amazing architecture.  The brew kettle area of the Brew House is lit by two four-story chandeliers from the 1904 World’s Fair.

We also visited one of the Beechwood Aging Cellars.  In this cellar we saw 66 of the 375 aging tanks on the premises, each of which held 3600 barrels, or over 110,000 gallons of beer.

We then made our way to the Bevo Packing Facility where we saw one of the most advanced packaging and bottling lines in the world.  On the last stop of the tour we continued on to the hospitality area where we were able to socialize and enjoy a few of the many different Budweiser products.
