Leaves from: Steak 'n Shake - 76 S Highway Dr, Valley Park

Celebrate Mothers Day weekend and enjoy a day of canoeing on the beautiful Current River with your Audi friends.

We have arranged for a special 30% discount rate of $32.20 per canoe for Audi Club members.

Camping is available at National Park Services Pultite Campground, For more information and to reserve your campsite, visit http://www.recreation.gov/campsiteSearch.do.  If there is enough interest, we can also drive down together on Friday night.  Just let Jerry know if you are planning to camp.

Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour
Sunday February 23rd
12:00 noon

Anheuser-Busch Tour Center - 12th and Lynch St., St, Louis

Join your Audi friends for a tour of the A-B brewery and biergarten in South St. Louis.

Anheuser-Busch's complimentary tour offers visitors of all ages an in-depth look at how some of America''''s favorite beers are crafted, using the finest, all-natural ingredients, by following it through the steps of the brewing and packaging process.  Since its founding in 1852 in St. Louis, Missouri, Anheuser-Busch has been perfecting this process, taking pride in producing some of the world’s finest beers, one batch at a time.  Those who are 21 and older will then have an opportunity to taste some of our quality products in the Hospitality Room at the conclusion of the tour.  Soft drinks and snacks are also available.

While on tour, you will see and learn about the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales at our historic stables built in 1885.  These majestic giants have appeared in some of the most memorable Super Bowl commercials over the years and represent a special part of Anheuser-Busch’s history.  Their size and strength will astound you, and the historic stables will make for a great photo opportunity.

You will also explore the rich architecture and heritage of the oldest and largest Anheuser-Busch Brewery, which includes visits to three national historic landmarks.  See some of our brew kettles, feel the cool Beechwood Aging Cellars and hear the thunder of bottles and cans flying by on our state-of-the-art high-speed packaging lines.  You will also learn about the extraordinary initiatives and practices Anheuser-Busch has in place that allow our breweries to recycle more than 99 percent of the solid waste they generate.

Audi may have failed to outshine closest rivals BMW and Mercedes-Benz in the area of electric cars, but the automaker from Ingolstadt is out to change that. And to do so it plans to target one of the leaders in the field, Tesla.

The information was first reported by Autocar, citing some sources at Audi. Rather than target the existing Tesla Model S electric sedan, the sources say Audi will challenge Tesla Motors’ [NSDQ:TSLA] upcoming Model X crossover with its own electric version of the oft-rumored Q8 crossover.

The Q8, which is tipped to arrive within the next couple of years, will be a sleeker and sportier version of the 2015 Audi Q7 due out later this year. While regular models will continue with gasoline, diesel and possibly plug-in hybrid powertrains, the electric version, likely to be called a Q8 e-tron, is said to get the high-performance electric drive system developed for the R8 e-tron electric sports car, which is now officially back on the table after the project was recently stalled.

For the Q8 e-tron, engineers are reportedly targeting an electric driving range of 370 miles. In its current form, Audi's high-performance electric drive system offers a range of about 250 miles in the R8 e-tron. The only roadblock to launching either vehicle is the batteries, though the technology is expected to sufficiently advance in time for the vehicles’ respective market launches.
