CARTER COUNTY CONNECTS
ccdpdirector@outlook.com

Hello coalition members,

Our CCDP March 2023 highlights include:

  • Tia participated in the ETSU College of Public Health's Networking Night
  • Nash worked with youth coalition members and other community kids to install a "Healthy Brains" art display at August Muse.
  • Seuss on the Loose and Glow in the Dark Dodgeball events were a great success! We are always grateful to partner with Elizabethton Parks & Rec and the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library for fun community events.
  • Big thanks to Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist, Kahla Cobb for providing a community overdose prevention training for the "Day of Hope."
  • We helped install a permanent overdose response and resource box at the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library. See more info below!
  • CCC held an in-person meeting to finalize the survey for our community health assessment. We appreciate Tyler Wright for all of his assistance in ensuring Carter County gathers quality data to create our Community Needs Assessment.
  • We hosted the "Stashed Away" trailer at the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library for National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week
  • We offered a Spring Break Safe Sitter training and trained 12 teens to be safe sitters and stay home alone safely!
Support CCDP this month by signing up for our "Egg My Yard" fundraiser. Even if you don't want your yard "egged," send eggs to a kiddo who will love an Easter surprise!

Thanks for always being our encouragers and supporting the work we do!
