Hello coalition members,
Our CCDP May 2023 highlights include:
- Staff members Jess, Nash, Tia and myself, along with volunteer, Sarah Sumpter, attended the Partners in Prevention Conference at Montgomery Bell State Park. We received great information to bring back home! (pictures 1 & 2 below) Check out our outstanding coalition member spotlight to learn more about the presentation Kelly Kitchens and I gave at the conference.
- I became a "Shield of Care" Trainer. I am so excited to offer this program to juvenile facilities and community organizations. For more information about Shield of Care, visit the website here.
- We hosted our annual Homeschool/Community Field Day event for more than 200 kids! See more about the Bridge to Shore women who helped us out and pictures of our youth coalition in action below.
- I was honored to serve on a "coalitions panel" alongside other regional coalition directors at the "Sparking Resilience: How the Northeast TN Region Can Forge a Recovery Ecosystem for Veterans" Conference (picture 3).
- Nash was able to help with getting "God's Garden" planted. If you are interested in assisting with this garden that will assist with TLC Center and Loaves and Fishes programs to combat food insecurity, reach out to the TLC Center (picture 4).
Thanks for your support. We could not do we do without our amazing community.

The women of Bridge to Shore are willing to help with any event, activity or other need we may have. This month, these amazing women helped with our Homeschool/Community Field Day event and we could not have done it without them. We are so proud of them and the way they are living recovery by giving back to our community!
We also really love doing parenting class with them every Sunday night and spending a few nights each month doing life skills classes with them in their homes. |
