Contribute to the Forum Appeal

Part of Lent is Alms to those in poverty, whether financial or spiritual.

So CMCS has an appeal going that part of it supports men to attend our Men's Forum on April 27th who can not afford to do so.

If this means you, please contact us.

The other part of this appeal supports Priest's and Seminarian's who would like to attend the Froum.

One of the ways CMCS supports poverty is with Zaccheaus House, and how we will provide for their men to attend the annual Forum on April 27th, as well as support their ministry through out the year.

Zacchaeus House is a not-for-profit, non-treatment home for men, providing a safe, supportive and spiritual home to those in transition, in need of healing and God’s Grace and Mercy. They emphasize spiritual development and a acceptance of the fundamental dignity and self-respect of all people.

To learn more about this important ministry click here, and be sure to listen to the audio clip.

As in the past few years, the matching offer for the Appeal will also apply to this year's Men's Forum.  A generous donor will match donations up to $600.00.  The matching period will begin with any donation received on Ash Wednesday, March 6th and end the day before the Forum on April 26th.

Also, as mentioned, your gift will apply to those who could attend but not able to because they cannot afford to do so, and for any Priests or Seminarians who would like to attend.

Use the drop-down for 'Forum Appeal' online at tickets.cmcsvirtues.org on paypal, or download the (PDF) check by mail form.

Thank you very much, may God bless you for what you do for others!

Catholic Chicago Men’s Forum - Saturday, April 27, 2019.
The Restless Journey of Life: How are we as Catholic Men embracing the invitation and challenge to enter the journey?
Our Vision: Nurturing Catholic Men's Spirituality in Chicago Southland.

Mission: Catholic Men Chicago Southland (CMCS) fosters Catholic Men in personal holiness, to make Jesus Christ the center of our daily lives.
CMCS is a Catholic Apostolate of Most Reverend Joseph N. Perry of the Archdiocese of Chicago.  Executive Director, Frank J Casella

“CMCS has been a great help in my walk with Christ on a daily basis.  I am surrounded by secular surroundings everyday and CMCS brings me “home.”  This group of men keep me grounded and express charity and humility, which is not easy to find these days.  The opportunity to listen to the wisdom of Bishop Perry is always enlightening and helps me in my growth in understanding the beauty of the Catholic faith.”

Tim

“My benefit from CMCS comes from the community of men I gather with and, our shared, interests, desires, and struggles with leading a Christian life.  Our community helps me realize that I am not alone as I strive to be a servant of God.  In this age where we race from chore to chore, and responsibility to responsibility CMCS provides me an opportunity to take time and think about God.  A time to step back to think about where I am at, where I have been, and where I want to be in God’s eyes when I enter eternity.  Of course the wisdom and guidance provided to us through the words of Bishop Perry are as the commercial says ………….. PRICELESS.”
