"We believe Jesus Christ set’s the tone and the description for authentic manhood.  The Gospels offer the outline and formation for manly maturity and the carrying out of responsibility as a single man, as a married man, family man, widow and for a man’s last days as he prepares to meet his Maker!  A man can’t go wrong with taking on the task of the Christian lifestyle."

 ~ Bishop Joseph N. Perry

Dear CMCS-Men and Readers,

A man who most recently sent a donation shared with us how inspiring CMCS is to him. In fact, 'inspire' is the most used word by men who respond to the CMCS outreach. Local men like you who are seeking the encouragement and fundamentals to live their spiritual journey as a Catholic man. You consistently tell us that we don't know how much we do for you, and for this we are deeply grateful to God for His providence and trust with this important task and opportunity.

The initiatives of this Catholic apostolate continue to grow and be in high demand.  And we see this even more since our updated mission statement to say 'Catholic Men Chicago Southland (CMCS) is engaged in fostering holy and courageous men and proclaiming the importance of husbands and fathers to children and the family.' from the former ' Catholic Men Chicago Southland fosters Catholic men in personal holiness, to make Jesus Christ the center of our daily lives'. The new version seems to resonate more with our present culture and the needs of men?

Both of these statements overlap each other, really, as we focus as always on living the fundamentals of the faith, something that can easily be taken for granted. Going forward we plan to be more specific about sharing practical ways to live out these fundamentals as a Catholic man. In addition, while working to host an Hispanic men's forum, we are seeking an Hispanic man to volunteer and serve the CMCS Team to facilitate this ministry. Because thousands of men have been been impacted by the CMCS mission, and we aim to provide opportunity for thousands more to come!

Your support helps CMCS continue to thrive and prosper as a ministry to men. CMCS is dependent upon the financial help of people like you to keep our outreach going strong, and would not be possible without your support. The average donation is $35.00, and our expenses will be $700.00 over the next four months. Please help CMCS continue debt-free with our motto of   'Living the Goodness of a Catholic Man'. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Thank  you too for your prayers and engagement with our online ministry and events, and sharing it all with other men who you feel might benefit. It is not uncommon for a man to say he found us by another man sharing one of our emails with him, or a personal invite to one of our activities. Feel free to let us know how we can better help you to live faithfully the implications of your baptism and discipleship in Christ for these times on the contact form - contact.cmcsmen.net - or email us at contact@cmcsmen.net

On behalf of Bishop Perry and the CMCS Team,

God bless you where you need it most!
