CMCS Newsletter for December 2019
Dear CMCS-Men, Donors and Friends,

We're sending you this update a bit early this month in order to accommodate the Christmas season. CMCS will be offline the last two weeks of the year to spend time with our loved ones.  Much has happened since we last wrote to you. So we'll share with you five main points, and you can fill in the gaps if you wish on the CMCS newsletter archive online at  List.CMCSVirtues.org

Preparing for Christmas– An important message with today's Gospel video reflection to prepare ourselves for Christmas spiritually for the coming of the Lord, bleow.

Throughout Advent and the Christmas season you also might want to prayerfully reflect on the Blog, on the CMCS Online Forum, also on Twitter, and on the CMCS LinkedIn Page for prayers and resources.

Subscribe to the Blog -
You should soon, or already have, recieved an invite from the blog to subscribe by email. Or, nip it in the bud and do it now here.

You're invited to subsribe to the Catholic Chicago Men Blog, an initiative of Catholic Men Chicago Southland (CMCS). This blog is designed to help nurture spirituality for all Catholic men across the Archdiocese of Chicago. Here you will find encouragement and support for “Living the Goodness of a Catholic Man”, as well as the weekly Manhood Monday, plus Catholic information and updates, and articles by Bishop Perry, as it relates to the CMCS Mission. Click here to see new posts by email.

Men’s Forum – The Bishop Perry's Catholic Chicago Men's Forum wil be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020. The Keynote speaker will be Fr. Richard Simon from St. Lambert Parish in Skokie, IL. Bishop Perry will also celebrate the closing Mass with homily. Hot breakfast will be served, as usual, we feed your stomach and then feed your Soul. Seating is available now, along with more information here

When the average ticket price around the country for a Catholic Men's Conference is between $40.00 and $65.00 each, CMCS continues to keep ticket prices low to cover only the food expense, because of many of you who donate to cover the event expenses. We ask that you download this flyer to spread the word over the Christmas season with the gatherings you attend, or bring to the attention of your parish Priest or Deacon to promote a group of men from your parish to attend.

2019 Fall Appeal Update - You Did It! You helped CMCS meet our financial goals to cover the seed money for the Men's Forum, as well as the expenses to carry this apostolate through the first quarter of 2020. Thank YOU!
