Vision: To Foster Catholic Men's Spirituality in Chicago Southland
How Men Benefit From CMCS
Some of the men discuss questions at the last Bishop Men's Forum.
By Frank J Casella, CMCS Co-founder & Executive DIrector

During a recent radio interview, I was posed with a question that truly made me pause and reflect: how has a man changed because of Catholic Men Chicago Southland? As I delved into my response, it became clear to me that this topic deserved to be explored further, for it holds the power to uplift and inspire us all.

One of the most striking effects of CMCS is the way it nourishes the soul of men. It's difficult to quantify the growth and progress of one's spirituality, as it is a uniquely personal journey that evolves through the various stages of life. However, the impact that CMCS has on the hearts and minds of its members is undeniable.

Through an engaged community of like-minded men, CMCS fosters spiritual richness and helps to cultivate the virtues of a true Catholic man. By continuously nurturing their own faith and holiness, these men become shining examples of goodness and embody the true essence of what it means to be a Catholic man.

Men, we know, can be hesitant to open up and talk about their inner struggles and spiritual growth. However, with the support and encouragement from CMCS, many have found the courage to do so. This has not only strengthened their relationship with God, but has also had a positive impact on their families as they bring their growing faith into their homes. CMCS has truly become a safe and welcoming space for many men to embark on their faith journey and deepen their relationship with God.

But not every man found his way back to the church through traditional means. For some, CMCS has been the key that unlocked the door to deeper conversations about their spiritual journey. As was shared in my recent interview, the things we internalize often manifest in unexpected and sometimes noisy ways. This is where CMCS comes in, serving as a crucial link for men to connect with their priests, seek guidance from counselors, or embark on a journey with a spiritual director.

Through the information from our blogs and videos, we receive many messages from men seeking answers to the questions that God has placed on their hearts, and from our Men's Forum the commitment expressed by men to grow alongside Jesus is truly inspiring.

Peeling back only the top layer, we glimpse a fraction of the countless ways Catholic men have raved about our impact on their lives. And if you've been touched by our mission in any other way, we invite you to reveal your story by replying to this message, leaving a comment on our blog, or sending us a message at contact@cmcsmen.net (PGP email encryption available upon request).
