Have Real Impact This Lent
As we are now into the holy season of Lent, many of us are hopefully slowing down and developing what prayerful habits we will try to incorporate into our lives over the remaining of the 40 days. Fasting and prayer are two important virtues of the Lenten experience for all Catholics.

Yet there is a third virtue -- almsgiving -- that its importance and impact is often overlooked. The foundation of almsgiving is the true spirit of charity within our Catholic faith. This Lent, will you consider making a Lenten offering for the future of the local men's spirituality?

Here's how your monthly gift to Catholic Men Chicago Southland could have a real impact on the mission of CMCS this Lent:

Help CMCS Online (blog, website, mailing list, etc.) to pay its bills!
Consider subscribing to send a monthly donation. That way we have steady income to plan on, and you wind up regularly on our list of benefactors for whom the CMCS-Team pray and for whom Bishop Perry periodically says Holy Mass.

Though CMCS Apostolate has a mission to foster Catholic Men in Vicariate VI on the South end of the Archdiocese of Chicago, our content on the internet is open to all men in the archdiocese, and around the world as well.

In fact, the blog alone provides more original content, especially from a bishop, like no other Catholic men's movement nationwide, showing all interested men how to be the Catholic man God calls them to be.

That's right, CMCS is becoming the 'voice' for "Living the Goodness of a Catholic Man".

This has all been funded, since CMCS jumped online in 2009, by inividual donors, and never with ads or other sources that may tell us what content to post or not. Your continued support helps CMCS to function debt free and tells how vital our mission is about nurturing Catholic men's spirituality.

Materials and Office Expenses: Your support of this apostolate helps us continue to reach men through similar office expenses that any other business or nonproif would have - though the CMCS-Team is all volunteer. We strive to offer men solid and consistent Catholic information, direct spiritual support and one-on-one mentoring. Ours is an intangible service. However, it strikes at the heart of a man's relationship with his Creator.

We never charge anyone for these services, or require member dues, nor will you see a pay wall on our articles. We give in the spirit of the love of Jesus, and we are blessed through this in seeing transformed lives.

Can't Make It To The Men's Forum? Donate And Help Other Men To Nurture Their Spirituality. As in the past few years, the matching offer will also apply to this year's Men's Forum.  A generous donor will match donations up to $600.00.  The matching period will begin with any donation received on Ash Wednesday, March 6th and end the day before the conference April 26th.

Also, your gift will apply to those who could attend but not able to because they cannot afford to do so, and for any Priests or Seminarians who would like to attend.
In past years you've done this without a hitch. Mark your donations 'ticket support' either online at tickets.cmcsvirtues.org on paypal, or (PDF) check by mail form.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support of CMCS Apostolate.
Together with you in Christ, we're 'Nurturing Catholic Men's Spirituality'

Our Vision: Nurturing Catholic Men's Spirituality in Chicago Southland.

Mission: Catholic Men Chicago Southland (CMCS) fosters Catholic Men in personal holiness, to make Jesus Christ the center of our daily lives.
CMCS is a Catholic Apostolate of Most Reverend Joseph N. Perry of the Archdiocese of Chicago.  Executive Director, Frank J Casella

“CMCS has been a great help in my walk with Christ on a daily basis.  I am surrounded by secular surroundings everyday and CMCS brings me “home.”  This group of men keep me grounded and express charity and humility, which is not easy to find these days.  The opportunity to listen to the wisdom of Bishop Perry is always enlightening and helps me in my growth in understanding the beauty of the Catholic faith.”

Tim

“My benefit from CMCS comes from the community of men I gather with and, our shared, interests, desires, and struggles with leading a Christian life.  Our community helps me realize that I am not alone as I strive to be a servant of God.  In this age where we race from chore to chore, and responsibility to responsibility CMCS provides me an opportunity to take time and think about God.  A time to step back to think about where I am at, where I have been, and where I want to be in God’s eyes when I enter eternity.  Of course the wisdom and guidance provided to us through the words of Bishop Perry are as the commercial says ………….. PRICELESS.”
