Vision: To Foster Catholic Men's Spirituality in Chicago Southland
Dear CMCS Men and Friends,

Below is an update from Darrin Bourret, a CMCS Man, regarding his Diaconate journey since his last post. Additionally, you will find information about the Deacon Inquiry Sessions.

The CMCS Team and I have you in our prayers as you continue your spiritual journey as a Catholic man ... and possible discernment to become a deacon.

Frank

Hello Men of the CMCS,

My name is Darrin Bourret, and I'm currently in my Aspirancy year to become a Deacon. My Lenten Journey as a Catholic man is focusing on charity. I have been trying to give more not only to the church but the community. I was fortunate enough to see a local food pantry and realize the importance of hunger. I know that God calls us to care for those in need and as I get deeper into my faith the calling to help is stronger every day Lent is also a time for forgiveness not only for us but for our neighbor. . The mercy of God is so powerful especially when we accept the Holy Eucharist. The most powerful message this Lenten season will always be that Christ fulfilled his promise through his death and resurrection to save mankind. I will continue to pray for all of you and I ask that you please keep me in your prayers as I continue my Journey in the Diaconate program.

May God Bless you and keep you safe...

Darrin B
