Papal Prayer for End of Pandemic

“Through the intercession of Mary, the Most Holy Mother of God, and of Saint Joseph, her spouse, we pray that next year will be happy for us and for all people, that the pandemic will cease, and that we will enjoy peace in our hearts, in our families, in our societies, and in the world.”
The Holy Father's Intentions for the Month of May 2022

For faith-filled young people: We pray for all young people, called to live life to the fullest; may they see in Mary's life the way to listen, the depth of discernment, the courage that faith generates, and the dedication to service.

Manhood Quote For The Month

"From a faith perspective, however, the healthy balance we all seek to maintain with all that is expected of us is given meaning by our faith, our love and our hope.  The beauty of life is made evident corresponding to the degree of devotion we supply each summons of a response from us and every event.  Our God is revealed to us through the mystery involved in our lives and the lives of others impacting our own.  Such a faith perspective allows us to accept life’s challenges with joy for we are measured by how we respond to challenge, opportunity and grace. "

Sunrise on Leap Year day, Saturday, February 29, 2020, in the village of Homewood, Il. Made from the campus at the (Catholic) Parish of St. Joseph.

This picture illustrates to me the importance of a parish or church in the community, to be a redemptive agency in the world, and reminds of (a twist on) the scripture 'Go into the community and preach the Gospel'.
Thanks for reading,

Talk with you again next month,

Frank
