The Bishop Perry Chicago Catholic Men's Forum, originally set for Saturday, April 26, 2025, has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 31st, due to the funeral of Pope Francis. The topic for the Forum discussion is "Holiness in our Ordinary Life" presented by Fr. Ryan Brady, Chicago Priest, Pastor, and Chaplain for the Chicago Fire Department. If you do not have a ticket yet to attend, you can do so, by clicking here or the red button at the bottom of this message. Questions? Email forum@cmcsmen.net
This annual event aims to inspire men's spirituality and strengthen their connections with other men, their families and community, as well as their parish priests, particularly within Vicariate VI of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Throughout the year, Catholic Men Chicago Southland (CMCS) will also focus on enhancing our digital ministry, utilizing online platforms to engage Catholic men throughout the Archdiocese and share the Gospel message. |

The most significant threat to our nation comes from within, as we face the decline of our morals, the institution of marriage, the values instilled in our youth, our culture, entertainment, education, communication, and the sanctity of human life. It is essential that we take a stand and tackle these urgent issues. |
Satan is on a quest to obscure and eliminate the understanding of God as a loving Father in our society. Pope John Paul II emphasized the crucial role that fathers play in families, stating that their fundamental purpose is "to reveal and relive on earth the very fatherhood of God." Consequently, one of Satan's primary strategies is to distort the clear and loving image of God the Father in a child's heart by undermining the idea of earthly fatherhood. He exploits modern difficulties related to fatherhood, such as divorce, abandonment, distractions, addiction, and alternative lifestyles, while also fostering a culture of effeminacy both in and out of the Church. It is essential for us to acknowledge this challenge and take steps to restore the authentic image of God the Father in our families and communities. |

In today's ever-evolving and challenging environment, it’s crucial for us to host men's conferences that draw a diverse crowd, ensuring that at least half of the participants are under 50. Younger fathers, who often face unique challenges while raising children at home, are frequently overlooked at these gatherings. We must prioritize their needs in our conference planning, topic selection, and outreach efforts—focusing predominantly on engagement through parishes. Encourage and invite young men to attend the men's forum, and let's come together to make this vision a reality. |
If you're prepared to spearhead a parish-focused conference or establish a men’s spirituality group, we are here to assist you throughout the process. Our aim is to empower men through spiritual development, allowing them to make a positive impact on their children's lives, engaging both their minds and hearts. This journey requires a strong faith that can navigate today's challenges, helping to counter the troubling trend of young adult Catholics moving away from their beliefs. |

The CMCS Team is committed to promoting men's holiness with the goal of making a lasting impact that resonates for at least three generations. We invite you to be part of this important mission. |

The Lenten matching gift campaign did not reach its target. A generous CMCS Man has pledged to match every donation made, up to $800. We're continuing this fundraising effort on the event registration page, and kindly ask you prayerfully consider making a donation of any amount, even if you are unable to attend the men's forum. Thank you for your support. God bless you for all that you do for others. |
