Vision: To Nurture Catholic Men's Spirituality in Chicago Southland

As men of faith, we are committed to defending the dignity of every person — regardless of race, color, ethnicity or ability. In Wake of Kenosha Violence, U.S. Bishops’ Chairman for Committee Against Racism Urges National Day of Prayer and Fasting to End Racism on Sept. 9, the Feast of St. Peter Claver, a 16th century Catholic saint revered for his ministry to slaves.
For much of U.S. history, Columbus has symbolized civic unity and the hope of building an inclusive society. Now, when scores of statues of Christopher Columbus have been vandalized or removed around the United States, it is important to remember why those statues were erected. The navigator who united two hemispheres was not a saint — but his momentous role in history should be celebrated -- Outrageous claims about Columbus need to be tempered by a sober look at the historical record.
Because your spirituality matters....
