Fall Appeal Stewardship Update
Dear Donors and CMCS-Men,
With only 3 days left in our Fall Appeal, we find ourselves at 60% of our goal. We are grateful to our many generous supporters thus far; but we still need your support! It is crucial that we raise the $700.00 goal by October 1st – every donation, large or small, does really help get us there. CMCS has been a staple in the Chicago Catholic Community for 20 years, and we know that many people would miss what we do if we stopped providing our events and online ministry, and we thank you for your continued support. 
 
So, we're not about to stop, because everything is about to change: 
 
+ A new generation of CMCS as 2024 will be our 20th Year!
 
+ There is a new Vicar as Bishop Perry has retired (though he will always be a Co-founder of CMCS).
 
+ There will thus be a new direction as we meet with Bishop Birmingham about what CMCS will look like, as he becomes our new Episcopal Liaison, and CMCS his apostolate. 
 
+ There is a new video or podcast ministry developing, as some men only want to engage with video/audio, while others only with the written word. 
 
+ There will be a new Hispanic and Polish ministry as we locate a CMCS Man to lead each of these important ministries, and keeping them separate and focused is the right way forward. 
 
+ We are on the cusp of new affiliated ministries of CMCS, starting with the Catholic Men Chicago Edgewater (CMCE) 
 
+ And much more new things to come!
 
 

Please keep the Catholic Men Chicago Southland team and mission in your prayers. We need them to keep up our strength and protection.

  1. We have never had financial reserves: CMCS Apostolate / CMCSMen.net is entirely user-supported, trusting day by day in God's providence and depending totally on the generosity of the people we serve.
  2. We do not seek to raise more funds than we need: our resources are distributed absolutely free of charge, reaching thousands men around the archdiocese each year—at a cost of only pennies per person served.
  3. We are committed to keeping costs at a minimum: The CMCS Team is all volunteer, and the director earns no full-time salary, and no rent or utilities costs are incurred as we utilize home offices, keeping our annual budget less than $4,000!
 
This campaign determines that we have the means to continue for 2023.

CMCS is a Catholic Apostolate founded in 2004 by Most Reverend Emeritus Joseph N. Perry, Deacon John Rangel, and Mr. Frank J Casella.
