Relaxin for Sleep Issues, Stress and Anxiety
CHI HEALTH LETTER                October 24, 2014
Do you have a hard time falling asleep?
Feeling stressed out? Anxious?

Do you have trouble staying asleep?
Do you often wake up tired in the morning?

Relaxin can help you with all that and more.

Relaxin Normalizes Sleep Patterns and Reduces Stress and Anxiety

Relaxin contains natural herbs that help the body cope with stress and anxiety and help you achieve better sleep. Taking it daily can improve sleep quality within 1 to 2 weeks and make you feel happier.

Its main mechanism is to enhance GABA (gamma aminobutyric acid) receptors in the brain. GABA is a neurotransmitter with anti-anxiety, anti-stress and relaxing effects. When GABA binds to its receptors, it signals the body to calm down and relax.

Many studies and case reports have attested to Relaxin’s effect. It produce a faster time-to-sleep and longer sleep duration than GABA according to animal studies. EEG tests show that brainwaves during sleep in the mice given Relaxin are very calm. This suggests that not only does Relaxin prolong sleep but also induces a deep and restful sleep, leading to more energy when waking up.

Case Reports:

J. Wright, MD from Washington, shares that a patient has been suffering from insomnia for years. After only 4 days on Relaxin, the patient has been able to sleep well.

R. Sanchez, MD from Texas, has a male patient who had sleeping problems. He tried melatonin but did not experience any effect. After taking Relaxin, he was able to sleep right away.

A female from New York has severe Lyme disease and has had trouble sleeping and severe pain. She has tried other therapies and found little relief. After using Bathdetox and taking Relaxin, this was the first time in a long time she has not complained of how bad she felt.

M.H., a 70-year-old male, has had chronic sleep issues for 15 years. He can only sleep at most 2 hours straight at night. After taking Relaxin daily for a week, he was able to improve his sleep duration to 5 hours at night.

D.B., a 47 y/o/m from CA, had a chronic sleeping problem. Melatonin has not helped him significantly. It still took him about 1 ½ hours to sleep after taking it with a sleep duration of only 3 to 4 hours at a time. When he tried Relaxin, he had more favorable results. He was able to sleep easily only 30 minutes after taking it with sleep usually lasting 7 to 8 hours.

Relaxin for Anxiety and Stress

In addition to normalizing sleep patterns, Relaxin also helps reduce stress and anxiety. A clinical study demonstrated Relaxin’s benefit for anxiety and stress. Levels of cortisol, IgA (Immunoglobulin A), and CgA (Chromogranin A) were measured before and after Relaxin was given. In stress, both cortisol and CgA levels are high while IgA is low. As expected, after taking Relaxin, the subjects’ cortisol and CgA levels reduced while IgA increased, reducing stress.

C.P., a 50 y/o/f from California, reports that taking Relaxin has significantly reduced her anxiety and has made her sleep much better at night.

Calming Effect of Relaxin Beneficial for Aggression, Withdrawal Symptoms and even Parkinson's Disease Symptoms

Relaxin’s calming effect has applications also in suppressing aggressive behavior and getting through withdrawal symptoms. This was seen in animal study where mice given Relaxin had no fighting tendencies at all compared to control mice or mice given GABA. Moreover, a clinical study showed that Relaxin helps reduce morphine withdrawal symptoms, such as pain, jumpiness and spasms.

The anti-spasmic effect of Relaxin can be attributed to his GABA receptor enhancement. This has been proved useful in curbing one of the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease: involuntary and uncontrolled movement of the limbs, such as in the following case.

T. Watkinson, DC from California, has an elderly patient with Parkinson’s Disease whose sleep pattern has been affected because she could not stop her arms and legs from flailing about. Only after taking Relaxin has her arm and leg movements been controlled and helped her sleep soundly.
