FEATURED STORIES

Case 1: Gallstone reduced in size in 1 year

F.M., a 63 y/o/f from Florida took Debile and Liver Chi for a gallstone. After one year, the gallstone reduced to more than half its size (Table 1).

Case 2: Gallstones reduced in size in 7 months

J. Fowler from FL has a 51-year-old female client with a gallstone that initially measured 2.2cm in diameter. Then she started taking Debile and Myomin. An ultrasound later found that the gallstones reduced in size to 1.9cm after 7 months (Table 2).

Case 3: Gallstone pain

L.W., 55-year-old female from CA, had gallstone pain for many years that started from her right upper abdominal quadrant and radiates to the back and all the way to the shoulders. This was due to multiple gallstones over 1cm3 in size. When she eats a little bit more than usual, she feels abdominal pain. When she’s hungry she also feels pain. Then she took Debile and Liver Chi. After 5 weeks her pain has completely alleviated.
GALLBLADDER SYMPTOMS AND MARKERS

People suffering from gallbladder attacks and/or gallstones know that the abdominal pain associated with it can be excruciating. Gallbladder attacks that are left untreated can cause pancreatitis. When it is triggered, gallbladder pain usually starts in the center or upper right area of the abdomen and can spread to the back or shoulder area, just like in Case 3 above. Nausea, vomiting and lack of appetite can also occur. These symptoms are often triggered after eating fatty foods. Table 3 lists some of the common symptoms and markers of gallbladder issues.

The gallbladder stores excess bile that is not immediately needed. Bile facilitates in the digestion of fats and is released from the gallbladder into the duodenum in response to food. When you eat meat or fat, the liver produces more bile, which is then stored in the gallbladder. However, if the person eats too much, too fast, this sends a signal to the liver to produce more bile. There may be too much accumulated bile than the gallbladder can handle. This accumulated bile can then lead to the formation of gallstones within the gallbladder or in the bile duct.
GALLSTONES

Gallstones generally form in the gallbladder; however, they may also form in the hepatic, common bile and cystic ducts. There are three types of gallstones: (1) cholesterol, (2) pigment (bile salt), and (3) mixed stones. Both cholesterol and pigment stones are associated with a high cholesterol, high-fat diet and typically occurs in people over 40 years old.

CHOLESTEROL STONES are the most common, accounting for about 80% of cases. These stones are white in color and develop from excess cholesterol in bile. So it is important to reduce cholesterol uptake from shellfish, egg yolks, and other sources.

Protocol for Cholesterol Stones: Debile, Wine Extract and CFC
  • Debile’s mechanisms on gallstones will be discussed in detail in a later section.
  • Wine Extract effectively reduces cholesterol and triglycerides.
  • CFC helps remove excess bile and reduce cholesterol. This is especially helpful for those without a gallbladder.

PIGMENT STONES comprise about 15% of gallstones. These are formed by the crystallization of calcium bilirubinate due to the liver producing too much bile. Mixed stones can be black stones (due to blood disorders) or brown stones (due to gallbladder infections).

Protocol for Pigment Stones: Debile, Liver Chi and Bathdetox. For infection, add Kidney Chi.
  • Debile, as explained in the next section, helps dissolve gallstones that contain bile acids.
  • Liver Chi improves liver function, allowing the liver to effectively regulate bile production.
  • Bathdetox is a skin dialysis herbal formula that removes toxins from the body, including bilirubin.
  • Kidney Chi inhibits various forms of bacteria so it will be beneficial for pigment stones caused by an infection
MIXED STONES comprise 5% of gallstones and a combination of both cholesterol and pigment stones.
GALLBLADDER SLUDGE (SANDY PARTICLES)

In some cases, the gallbladder may have sandy particles. These are small particles are what is called gallbladder sludge, small particles of waste that have not actually developed into gallstones yet. They may be worse than gallstones because they can easily clog up the bile duct and more easily migrate, causing more problems. If you have sandy stones, try Debile first. If it cannot completely remove the sandy gallstones, then have them removed by surgery.
GALLSTONES MORE COMMON AMONG WOMEN: "Fiar, Female, Fat, Fertile"

Gallbladder disease occurs more often in women than in men at a 6:1 ratio. "Fair, female, fat, fertile" accurately describes the major risk factors of gallstones, occurring more frequently among Caucasian women who are overweight and are of childbearing age.

This characterization suggests that estrogen plays a factor in gallbladder disease. This is due to estrogen causing increased cholesterol secretion and progesterone causing bile stasis. If estrogen is elevated, cholesterol also increases, causing the increased secretion of bile. Pregnancy, during which estrogen levels are high, also raises gallstone risk. The use of hormone replacement (HRT) and birth control pills also increase cholesterol concentration in bile and decrease gallbladder emptying. Being overweight is another contributing factor. It increases cholesterol in bile, decreases bile salts and reduces frequency of gallbladder contraction and emptying. For estrogen-related gallstones, Myomin, an aromatase reducer that lowers excess estrogen, is recommended with Debile and Wine Extract.
GALLBLADDER INFLAMMATION (CHOLECYSTITIS)

Gallbladder inflammation or cholecystitis is usually as a complication of gallstones or infection. In some cases, gallstones cause obstruction, bile can get clogged and inflammatory enzymes are released in the process. In other cases, a bacterial infection causes the inflammation. Even after the inflammation or infection has cleared, gallbladder function may still be sluggish so associated symptoms may still continue.

Protocol for Gallbladder Inflammation: Debile, Kidney Chi
  • Debile – According to a clinical study, Debile appears to be more effective than antibiotics in the management of acute and chronic cholecystitis. It can inhibit more than 20 pathogens including Staphylococcus, E. coli, salmonella, and anaerobic bacteria.
  • Kidney Chi – Has antibacterial properties for cholecystitis caused by an infection.
CHOLECYSTECTOMY (GALLBLADDER REMOVAL)

Because gallstones can lodge also in the liver duct, removing the gallbladder (cholecystectomy) may not always be the answer. This is the reason why cholecystectomy does not completely eliminate the risk for gallstones and why there is lingering biliary pain after surgery, like in Case 1 above.

Gallstones that are located in the bile duct outside the liver are fairly easy to remove by surgery. However, even with surgical removal of the gallbladder, gallstones can still remain in the common hepatic duct that is located inside the liver. These stones are more difficult to remove. Taking Debile and with CFC can make it easier to surgically remove gallstones in the hepatic duct.

People without gallbladder at increased risk for Colon Cancer

People without gallbladders are also at higher risk of accumulating excess bile and for colon cancer. Secondary bile salts are carcinogens, so if they accumulate in the colon, the risk for cancer increases within 10 years. Take CFC to help reduce the risk of accumulated bile in the colon. If you have to undergo a colonoscopy, take Angiostop at least a month before the procedure to reduce the risk of spread and recurrence in case of malignancy.

Protocol for Cholecystectomy Patients: Debile, Liver Chi, CFC
  • Debile – Studies show that Debile is still effective among patients who have undergone a cholecystectomy.
  • Liver Chi - In many cases of gallbladder disease, liver function is may also be impaired since the liver regulates the secretion of cholesterol and bile acids. Often the liver enzymes are also elevated. Liver Chi can improve liver function as well as reduce liver enzymes.
  • CFC - Helps remove excess bile, especially for cholecystectomy patients
Cholecystectomy Cases

The following cases demonstrate gallbladder pain can still manifest even after the gallbladder is removed and how Debile can effectively manage it.

G. Huddleston, DC from TX, has a 19-year-old female patient whose gallbladder was removed. After the surgery, she was still in a lot of pain that she couldn’t go to college. After 3 months on Debile, CFC, Liver Chi and Digestron, her pain has been alleviated, enabling her to return to school.

A. Sayler, CN from FL, has a 43-year-old female client who had her gallbladder removed; however, she still experienced abdominal pain. After taking Debile for 3 weeks, her pain was completely relieved. After 4 months, her pain has not returned at all.

O.C., 57-year-old male from CA, has had his gallbladder removed. Whenever he eats fatty foods, he always takes Debile and Liver Chi after the meal to relieve any abdominal discomfort. he radiologist came in and said that the smaller stones tend to be the worst because they like to migrate a lot and cause problems. They're easier to disturb when the gallbladder is active.
DEBILE (Gallbladder Attacks, Gallstones, Gallbladder Inflammation)
Recommended even for those without a gallbladder

Removing the gallbladder (cholecystectomy) is not always the best course in dealing gallbladder disease. For those with gallbladder issues, you will be happy to hear that there are natural solutions you can try before opting for surgery. In many cases, the surgery may not be needed after all.

Debile is a combination of herbs that reduces gallbladder inflammation and infection as well as reduces recurrence and further growth of gallstones. Even those who have undergone a cholecystectomy can benefit from it.

  • It promotes emptying of bile from the gallbladder – This prevents bile from crystallizing in the gallbladder and forming stones.
  • It increases bile salts – This helps dissolve gallstones, especially cholesterol stones, making it easier for them to be passed.
  • It increases stomach and gallbladder smooth muscle contraction – This helps in the emptying of bile from the gallbladder.
  • It changes the pH of bile – Again, this promotes the dissolution of gallstones, both cholesterol and pigment types, reducing them to a size small enough to pass.
  • It makes the coarse inner gallbladder membrane to smoothen. In many people with gallbladder issues, the gallbladder’s inner membrane is typically not smooth. Debile can help smoothen this, allowing the easier passage of gallstones.
  • It inhibits more than 20 pathogens including staphylococcus, E. coli, salmonella and anaerobic bacteria. This makes it even more effective for cholecystitis especially when combined with Kidney Chi.
Many studies have been conducted on Debile to quantify its effect on gallbladder issues and associated symptoms. Click here to read about these studies.

GALLSTONES CASES

A. Sayler, CN from FL, has the following case reports:
  • A 50-year-old female patient had gallbladder pain due to gallstones, which caused 100% blockage in her bile duct. With Debile and Liver Chi, her gallstones cleared and her gallbladder pain was completely relieved
  • A 55 y/o/f client has a gallstone that has been causing her pain. Surgery has been recommended but she took Debile first. After 5 weeks of Debile, her pain has been completely relieved she did not need surgery anymore.
M. Mann, MD from AZ, has a 50-year-old male patient who used Debile, Bathdetox, Asparagus Extract, and Kidney Chi. After 2 months, he passed (through fecal excretion) approximately 250 crystals-- precursors to gallstones.
SUMMARY

When you experience pain in the upper right quadrant of your abdomen, check for gallbladder issues, such as gallbladder attacks, gallstones (cholelithiasis), or gallbladder inflammation (cholecystitis). In many cases, nausea is also present.

Debile is an excellent supplement for any gallbladder issue. It is best taken a half hour after a meal. One week of taking Debile should produce a noticeable difference in the symptoms. Significant results can be seen in 30 to 60 days.

You can also take Liver Chi with Debile to facilitate faster results since gallbladder issues are associated with liver problems as well.

For gallbladder attacks, take Debile with Myomin. Many gallbladder issues are related to high estrogen.

For gallstones, take Debile with Liver Chi, CFC, Wine Extract, and Myomin. Bathdetox may be used as well to reduce bilirubin.

For gallbladder inflammation, take Debile with Kidney Chi.

People without a gallbladder may still be at risk for developing gallstones and colon cancer because of the accumulation of bile salts. In this case, take Debile with Liver Chi and CFC in order to reduce the risk.

Our next issue will discuss gallbladder polyps, gallbladder cancer and cholangiosarcoma.
