The Oregon Sudden Unexpected Death Study reveals the strong association between sex hormone levels and the risk for sudden cardiac arrest. Results of the study were recently published in the peer-reviewed journal Heart Rhythm. It was found that low levels of testosterone were found in men who had sudden cardiac arrest. Furthermore, high levels of estradiol in both men and women were strongly associated with a high risk for sudden cardiac arrest.

Statistics show that only 5% of people who suffer sudden cardiac arrests survive. Therefore these new findings provide a helpful measuring tool that can help doctors identify at-risk individuals and recommend preventive measures.

Sumeet Chung, MD, director of the Heart Rhythm Center in the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute, stated that "...higher testosterone levels in men may offer protection from sudden cardiac arrest and lower levels of estrogen may protect both men and women."

This new study reaffirms what Chi's Enterprise has known and taught for years...that heart problems are related to hormone levels.
Controlling Estrogen Dominance and Hyperaromatization with Myomin

We have always written about the need to watch for signs of estrogen dominance and for keeping estrogen levels within normal range. Estrogen dominance (especially high estradiol) has many severe health repercussions, including heart disease. It is also directly related to hyperaromatization, a condition in which male hormones like testosterone are converted to estradiol through the aromatase enzyme. In men especially, this leads to low testosterone and high estradiol, the very condition that leads to sudden cardiac arrest risk.

Our environment is rife with many factors that contribute toward estrogen dominance: hormone replacement therapy, plastics, cosmetics, pesticides, and even the foods we eat; it is sometimes difficult to maintain the right estrogen balance. With Myomin, you can reduce estradiol and increase testosterone naturally.

In last week's email, we looked at the pathway of hormones as well as Myomin's mechanism and how it reduces aromatase expression to limit the conversion of male hormones to estrogens. By blocking this pathway, hyperaromatization is controlled. Eventually the ideal estradiol and testosterone levels are achieved.
Case Reports

Myomin has been clinically shown to reduce estradiol, even in postmenopausal females. In one study, 60 postmenopausal women took Myomin. After only 10 days, their average estradiol level reduced by 47.9%.

Many clinical case reports also support Myomin's estradiol-reducing function in both men and women.

F. Cromeyer, RPh from Texas, reports on a female patient in her 50s who took Myomin for 2 months. Her estradiol level reduced from 6.5 to 2.4 pg/ml.

G. Adams, MD from Florida, has a male patient on testosterone therapy. Hyperaromatization most likely increased his estradiol level to 95 pg/ml. After he took Myomin for 5 months, his estradiol reduced to a normal 25 pg/ml.

Myomin increases Testosterone

Since Myomin corrects hyperaromatization, taking it will eventually aid in increasing testosterone levels, such as in these cases.

D. Caron, DC from South Dakota, has a 52-year-old male patient whose testosterone level increased to 460 ng/dL after 6 months on Myomin.

A similar case was reported by R. Ornelas, DC from California. He has a 54-year-old male patient whose testosterone level increased by 180 points after a year on Myomin.

Besides sudden cardiac arrest, there are many health risks for individuals with low testosterone and high estradiol: Insulin resistance, diabetes, cysts, estrogen-responsive tumors, etc. Myomin's functions therefore make it a worthwhile therapy for managing testosterone and estradiol levels to avoid these health risks.
