Good morning Equity Action Team,
I hope you're staying safe, staying sane, and finding time to step away and take care of yourself during these whirlwind weeks before Christmas. This week has been and is draining every bit of energy we've got, with an Undoing Racism workshop, three Equity Introduction workshops and the Equity Action Team meeting on top of all the other nonsense, but the best part of this work is you never go alone, and I know collectively in the Office we have more than enough strength and energy to push on and thrive.

Provide input and idea to help the City Reimagine Public Safety!
As one avenue of receiving feedback, the City has established this SpeakUp Austin page in order to get broad responses from the community on ideas. There is also this survey, so if you could please respond to one or both areas!
Some prompts to respond to:
- When you hear the word policing, what are some other words/phrases that come to mind.
- When you hear safety, what words come to mind, and how do you envision the ideal in Austin?
- When you hear reimagining, what words come to mind, and how to you envision the ideal for public safety in Austin?
