Good morning Equity Action Team,
I hope you and all your people are doing well. We're still working in response and pushing the recovery efforts to center those most impacted. As part of that, if you or someone you know lives in apartments still without water, we are able to set up one-time or regular water deliveries, so let us know and we will make that happen.
I also want to assure you all it is not lost on us the lack of planning and response for our unhoused neighbors. This piece covers it pretty well, but I also wanted to extend a shout-out to Community Resilience Trust, Survive2Thrive and 10,000 Fearless First Responders who were out delivering supplies and connecting people to shelter when the City failed them.
See below for the next meeting information, as well as some other updates. |

March Equity Action Team Meeting
The March Equity Action Team meeting will be held Friday, March 12th, from 11:00 AM-2:30 PM.
As a note, I heard from many of you that there were issues previously with accessing the Zoom link. When you receive a message that "only authorized users are allowed" all you need to do is log into a Zoom or Google account and it should let you in. I know this presents a barrier, but we're trying to balance access while also holding the space for you all to feel safe and secure.
If you would like to add this meeting to your calendar, you can do so with these links:

Stop AAPI Hate
The AAPI community continues to face racist attacks and harassment. The City and the Equity Office wholeheartedly condemn these attacks. We are partners in a national effort to ensure this violence does not go ignored. If you or anyone you know has been a victim, please report it via this link so we can track and better respond as an institution, and as a community.

Budget Engagement Forum Tonight!
Due to the winter storm, the final Budget Engagement Forum was postponed and rescheduled for tonight at 6:30 PM. This Forum was planned to focus on Economic Opportunity and Culture, however, we would never place limits on the input of community. These engagements center on the question of what the City should be doing to make you safer/healthier/more economically stable. Basically, what should we be doing that we aren't doing now, or what should we be doing better that we already are. I know you all have a lot to say about this, and if you're able we would really value your time and energy.
